Full-Time Lot Attendant / Auto Detailer

Zeigler Ford of Plainwell

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Lot Attendant and Auto Detailer. This dual role is crucial for maintaining the presentation, organization, and inventory readiness of our dealership vehicles and lot.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Inventory Management:
Coordinate the receiving of new vehicle shipments, verifying all accessories and conducting initial damage inspections.
Ensure all new, used, wholesale, and titled vehicles are correctly parked in designated lot areas to optimize space and flow.
Replace sold vehicles and empty spaces with new inventory, prioritizing the display of marketable units.
Oversee and maintain the organization and security of all vehicle keys.
Lot and Vehicle Presentation:
Maintain a clean, organized, and trash-free vehicle lot at all times.
Ensure all vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for customer viewing or delivery, including washing and detailing both interiors and exteriors.
Verify all vehicles display the required dealership license plate frames, factory stickers, and addendum pricing.
Dealership Support and Compliance:
Attend and actively participate in required training sessions and meetings.
Comply with all company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
Inform supervisors immediately of any issues or discrepancies that arise.
Required Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (or a willingness to learn manual transmission).
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
Successful completion of a drug and background screening.
Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in a lot attendant or auto detailing role.
Familiarity with dealership management software and computer programs (e.g., CDK, Vauto).
Excellent communication skills and legible handwriting for documentation.
Compensation & Benefits:

Full-Time or Part time (30-40) hours with a starting pay of $13 - $16 per hour, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Full Time Lot Attendant / Detailer Job

Zeigler Ford of Plainwell

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lot Attendant and Auto Detailer to maintain our dealership's vehicle inventory and lot. Both positions will assist in receiving new shipments, ensuring all accessories are included, and moving and arranging vehicles to optimize space. You will ensure new, used, wholesale, and awaiting title vehicles are parked in designated lot areas, as well as those waiting for maintenance, cleaning, gassing up, and washing.

To excel in this role, you must be accountable and prudent in performing your duties. Ideal candidates are proficient multitaskers, organized, and can perform with a high level of accuracy. Experience is preferred but not necessary; learn the knowledge of dealership policies is helpful.

Lot Attendant Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend and participate in training and meetings.
Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable.
Maintain a clean, organized, and trash-free lot.
Arrange and park vehicles in designated lot areas.
Ensure dealership license plate frames are affixed to vehicles.
Verify new vehicles display factory and addendum stickers and selling price.
Oversee and maintain keys.
Replace sold vehicles and empty spaces with new inventory, ensuring marketable vehicles are displayed first.
Inform supervisors of issues as they arise.
Comply with all company policies and procedures per handbook.

Lot Attendant and Detailer Preferred Requirements:

Valid driver’s license.
Clean driving record.
Proficiency in typing, emailing, Microsoft Word, and basic software and computer programs for dealerships like CDK and Vauto.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to fill out documents legibly.
Ability to drive manual (or learn) and automatic transmission vehicles.
Completion of drug and background screening.
Ability to follow basic written instructions.
Outstanding organizational skills.

We offer full-time and part-time positions, with a starting pay of $14 -$15 based on qualifications and experience. Pay rates vary for full-time and part-time positions.
