Our thoughts are with Alex Ramos’ family, friends, coworkers, and the entire Governor’s Towing team following this tragic loss.
We stand with our fellow towing and recovery professionals across Connecticut in remembering Alex and recognizing the dangers roadside workers face every day.
Please slow down. Move over. Give roadside workers the space they need to get home safely.
In Memory of Alex Ramos
It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Alex Ramos, a tower with our member company, Governor’s Towing, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty last night.
Alex was doing the same work that towers across Connecticut do every day, helping others along our roadways while facing risks that are often unseen or underestimated. His loss is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers our operators face each time they step out of their trucks and onto the side of the road.
On behalf of the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Connecticut, we extend our deepest condolences to Alex’s family, friends, coworkers, and the entire Governor’s Towing team. There are no words that can ease a loss like this, but please know that the towing and recovery community across Connecticut stands with you and grieves alongside you.
We will share information regarding services and any ways our towing community can support Alex’s family as those details become available.
In the meantime, we ask everyone to keep Alex’s loved ones and coworkers in your thoughts and prayers. We also ask every driver on Connecticut’s roads to remember why our Move Over law matters.
Slow down. Move over. Give roadside workers the space they need to do their jobs safely.
Every tower deserves to make it home at the end of their shift.
Rest easy, Alex. You will not be forgotten.
