Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tire Technician to join our team. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tire-related tasks, including tire installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the safety and optimal performance of vehicles for our valued customers. The ideal candidate should possess excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Tire Installation: Properly mount and dismount tires on various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles, ensuring correct alignment and balancing.
Tire Repair: Diagnose and repair punctures, tears, and other tire damages using appropriate tools and techniques, adhering to safety standards.
Tire Maintenance: Conduct routine tire inspections, checking for wear patterns, tire pressure, and tread depth, and recommend necessary maintenance or replacements to customers.
Tire Rotation: Advise and perform regular tire rotations to promote even tire wear, prolonging tire life and maximizing performance.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing guidance on tire selection, maintenance, and safety.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all tire service equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and safe to use.
Safety Compliance: Follow industry safety standards and guidelines while performing all tire-related tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications in automotive technology or tire service is a plus.
Experience: Prior experience as a Tire Technician or in a related automotive service role is advantageous but not mandatory. Willing to consider entry-level candidates with a strong interest in the automotive industry.
Mechanical Skills: Proficient in using tire service equipment, hand tools, and machinery. Ability to troubleshoot and perform tire-related repairs effectively.
Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy tires, bending, and standing for extended periods while performing tire services.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure precise tire installation and adherence to safety procedures.
Customer-Oriented: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and assist colleagues when needed.
Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to following safety protocols to protect oneself, customers, and team members.
