Not all rides go on the dyno and this AWD SS with a Whipple SC is an example. It was bought locally and had a funky idle (stock cam) and felt sluggish. It was quite lean at idle and cruising and then pretty rich at wide open at 9.6-1 AF. It can be a bit of a pain getting an AF meter road worthy, but a must have with a boosted ride. Client loves it now.

Quite the interesting LS swap with this turbocharged BMW. Very well done and the Holley EFI dialed right in. The waste gate springs was not as advertised (8 PSI spring vs 4.5 actual) but still in the 540-550 RWHP range. And everything works on the car less the AC. lss

We see it a lot here. A client has a really nice build but the drive-ability and shifting is not so good. A lot fall into the “trap” of the “self-tuning” EFI systems and get frustrated with either their DIY builds or having a shop build it and just not be fun to drive. Such was the case with this 50 Chevy. Hard start or stall, shifts way off and no power. Give us a few hours (as long as things are mechanically okay) and we will have it running well or tell you what it needs to be corrected. Some of it is lack of experience and some from the current advertising of most EFI systems. Do not settle if your EFI has disappointed you, give us a call…
