The penny test is a quick and easy way to check the tread depth of your car tires. By inserting a penny into the tire tread groove, you can determine if the tread is worn down to a potentially unsafe level. A coolant flush is another name for radiator flush, a procedure to clean your vehicle’s cooling system of sediment and rust. The coolant keeps your engine from overheating while running, and from freezing in cold weather when it’s not running. The purpose of a radiator flush is to ensure that your coolant system protects your engine as efficiently as possible - and to prevent corrosion in metal engine parts from rust and other contaminants.

Depending on your vehicle and your coolant, flushing your radiator on your manufacturer’s recommended schedule ranges from a best practice to a necessity. With modern coolants, flushes likely help the operation of the cooling system and, in any case, do no harm. If enough corrosives build up in your coolant, your metal engine parts can degrade. If enough contaminants build up that your engine freezes, you can end up with irreparable engine damage.

And If there are silicates or borates in your coolant, it must be replaced regularly. And in the case of a radiator leak, you will need new coolant after that problem is repaired. A full coolant system flush is convenient at that time.

Injection System Cleaning
What are the Benefits of cleaning and balancing your injectors? It obviously will depend on the condition of the injectors prior to the cleaning. Older more “clogged” injectors will notice a much larger improvement over injectors that have less accumulation of deposits. No matter the starting condition of the injectors, an increase in performance and fuel economy will pay for the cleaning in a matter of no time. Most high-mileage engines and engines that are used mostly for short trip stop-and-go driving are the most likely prospects for injector cleaning. High performance applications are even more important to maintain and keep in balance. We recommend cleaning the injectors every 25,000 to 30,000 miles to keep them flowing at peak efficiency.

One good thing about brakes is that they will let you know when they are getting close to needing repairs.

Sometimes you’ll hear the telltale squeaking or grinding noise that means your brake pads are wearing down. Other times, you’ll feel your car pull to one side when you brake, signaling an issue with your brakes, calipers, or brake fluid. When should I have my Tires Balanced?
Every time you buy a new set of tires if you hear or feel your tires shimmy or shake, have your tires professionally balanced.
A technician uses special equipment to spin your wheels and detect imbalances, then attaches weights to the wheel to balance the assembly.

Having your tires properly balanced will:
-Improve road handling
-Reduce tire noise
-Promote even tire wear

Road Force Balance
Road Force Balancing: a tire and wheel are matched as an assembly. It allows the heavy spot of the tire to counteract the heavy spot on a rim. It allows for a better balance of the assembly and less unsightly weights needed to be placed on the rim. It also improves ride feel, especially at higher speeds.
