Something new is coming to life in the shop, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

Introducing the Exclusive Outfitters AWD Sprinter, 144” WB High Roof, Blackout Edition. This build is currently in production and will be ready to hit the road in early October.

This rig is based on our Model E platform, but we reimagined the interior from the ground up. Instead of our signature stacked panel beds, we swapped the upper bed for a Poptop Sleeper, opening up the whole cabin and giving you real space to move, without giving up our signature rear flex space, the same zone that transforms effortlessly from dining to sleeping to storage depending on what your day looks like.

We didn’t stop there. Our overhead aluminum cabinetry now wears walnut door faces that tie directly into a walnut butcherblock countertop on the galley, bringing warmth into a build that’s otherwise all business. Up front, two single quick-release Captain’s Chairs in Sienna Brown leather replace the old bench seat, so you get comfort and flexibility without compromise. The overall palette leans moody and earthy this time around, walnut, sienna, and blackout tones working together in harmony.

RECON 2.0 | PART ONE: THE EXTERIOR

Recon left an impression.

So naturally, we had to do it again.

Recon 2.0 is officially in production, and while there’s plenty we’re not showing you just yet, the foundation for this build is already taking shape.

Built on the 144” AWD Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Recon 2.0 is our Model B configuration. Seats four, sleeps four, and keeps one of the things we love most about this floorplan intact: the signature EO flex space behind the galley.

At dinner, it’s a dining room. At night, it becomes the bed. Load it differently and you have a wide-open gear garage ready for bikes, boards, camp equipment and whatever else has no business staying clean.

That versatility is a big part of what makes the Model B work. It can carry a family into the backcountry, haul gear, and still remain compact enough to live with every day.

And Recon 2.0 is getting the same serious hardware underneath it.

But what has us excited isn’t any single component. It’s watching all of these pieces come together again into a van that can genuinely do a lot of things well — carry four people, sleep four, disappear for a few days, swallow their gear, handle ugly terrain and then come home and behave itself in the school pickup line.

That’s Recon.

And Recon 2.0 is just getting started.

It is not a marketing line. It is the standard we design to.

You can see it throughout the build. Cabinetry, galley, and storage bins made from marine grade aluminum instead of materials that warp or wear. Vented aluminum covers protecting our custom battery systems and AC units, inside and out, so performance holds up trip after trip.

Strong as the Sea: Why Exclusive Outfitters Builds with Marine Grade Aluminum

Every EO galley, bin, and cabinet starts the same way. Not with what looks good in a showroom, but with what survives real conditions.

Marine grade aluminum was built to live at sea. Saltwater, storms, humidity, years of exposure, and it does not rust, rot, or warp. So when we bring it inland into a Sprinter build, it is not decoration. It is a philosophy.

Here is what that actually means on the road:

Lightweight strength. Every ounce matters in a Sprinter. This material gives you serious strength without the bulk, which means better fuel efficiency, smoother handling, and less wear on your tires and suspension.

Weatherproof and corrosion resistant. Camping near the coast, crossing a snowy pass, parked under a desert sun, it does not matter. No rust. No rot. Just solid, sleek cabinetry no matter where you take it.

Climate stable. Temperature swings from the Rockies to Baja crack and warp most materials. Ours stays dimensionally stable, so doors align and drawers slide the same way on day 300 as they did on day one.

Low maintenance. Salt spray, mud, spilled coffee, it wipes clean. No sanding, no sealing, no replacing warped panels. More time on the trail, less time maintaining your rig.
