Beautiful 1966 beetle . Cylinders 3/4, very low compression……well… pulled the engine… found out why… critters made a nest top of the cylinders… zero air flow over them. Chewed up the pistons and cylinders… destroyed the cylinder head…. Burnt/ sunk valves…. After my customer air cooled cars come out of hibernation… from winter… one of the first things I check for!!!!! Unfortunately, this is a new customer… but I’ll patch it back together, for now. They are all ready wanting to install a bigger engine.. so for now , she shall be usable…

Got the Fiat engine pressure washed… now to start tearing it down to rebuild…. Wonder what I will find when I get inside...

Got the Fiat engine pressure washed… now to start tearing it down to rebuild…. Wonder what I will find when I get inside???? Cylinder head should not be an issue, have all the tools to do a nice 3 angle valve job.. cylinder bores and pistons… hmmmm…. Time shall tell. 😜

2009, Passat. ABS, traction. Control and check engine lamps on. Code for left rear wheel speed sensor. The seal on the bearing has magnets imbedded in it, which excites the speed sensor.. in this case.. seal swelled up and chewed up the sensor… new hub and sensor.. clear all the codes. Now happy car.

When you get a new customer… because they went all over town… to get 4 tires mounted and balanced.. for his 1962, Porsche 356S…after whatever tire store mounted 2 tires.. the inform him… they have no way to balance the tires…so he stops then dead in their tracks… takes everything with him… calls everywhere.. and just for s**ts and giggles… stops at my buddy shop. Corrupted Concepts… Scott Hall was like did you call or stop by Beatle’s….??? We he did and thanks Scott!!! Far as I know… I’m the only place that has the adaptor… for VW “ wide five “ wheels.. all said and done the man was overjoyed!!
