♻️📈 Global demand for green jobs is growing at 8% per year, but recent research highlights a shortage of qualified talent.

Liberty Tire Recycling applauds the Northeast Recycling Council (NERC) and Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) on the launch of the Sustainable Materials Careers Program (SMCP), a new pilot initiative to engage the next generation of sustainable materials management professionals.

This program will utilize career exploration events and professional development training to provide college students with industry exposure, foundational knowledge and a clear path toward careers in sustainable manufacturing.

🎒 🎉 Liberty Tire Recycling raises $195,000 for Blessings in a Backpack in 2026!

For the third consecutive year, our employees, business partners, and supporters have come together to help fight childhood hunger through our partnership with Blessings in a Backpack, a national nonprofit that provides weekend food to school-aged children in need.

Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our Liberty community, we raised $195,000 through our annual Liberty Cares Charity Golf Tournament, bringing our three-year fundraising total to more than $415,000!

Employees at five Liberty locations will also pack bags of weekend meals at events in late October: Santa Fe Springs, CA, Midlothian, TX, Minerva, OH, Jackson, GA, and Portland, OR. Together, these teams will pack 6,500 bags of weekend meals for local Blessings in a Backpack programs.

This partnership is deeply important to our Liberty community. When asked what mattered most, our employees said they wanted to support a cause that helps children and fights hunger. Blessings in a Backpack does both: providing bagged lunches to fill nutrition gaps when children don’t have access to school meals.

🚗🏁 Ever wonder how demolition derby drivers get rid of all their tires?

Charles Miller of New Castle, KY, took advantage of a recent Tire Amnesty Event in Henry County to deliver more than 100 tires, many from his demolition derby vehicles.

The Henry County collection event is one of many that Liberty Tire Recycling is hosting across Kentucky this year to provide residents with a free and convenient way to ensure their end-of-life tires are safely and sustainably recycled.

These events divert tires from landfills and illegal dump sites, reducing health hazards and environmental risks, while placing valuable, recycled materials back into the .

We applaud the Kentucky Division of Waste Management and its local partners for organizing these events, across the state.
