After getting the old GMC running again, we pull out the pressure washer and begin removing four decades of grime. With every pass, more of its original red paint, vintage lettering, and incredible weathered character begin showing through.

🔧 Before we try to start this 1956 GMC fire truck, we need to find out if its engine is still healthy!

Back at Iron City Garage, we begin investigating what we’re working with by checking the engine’s overall condition and performing a compression test. We also empty out the cab to uncover everything that was left behind after all these years.

🚒 Can this forgotten 1956 GMC fire truck be rescued and brought back to life?

We’re in Eastern Pennsylvania picking up this incredible old fire truck from Ranger, a guy we originally met at Carlisle. He invited us to come check it out, and now we’re hoping to make a deal and bring it home to Iron City Garage!

🚨 ANOTHER ONE SAVED FROM A COLLAPSED GARAGE! 🚨

This 1959 Buick spent the last couple of years sitting underneath what was left of an old garage in Natrona Heights. Today, we finally pulled it out of the rubble and brought it home to Iron City Garage!

It’s dirty, weathered, and definitely needs some attention—but there’s still plenty of beautiful ’50s styling hiding underneath it all.

🚗 FIRST DRIVE IN 30 YEARS!

We found this 1970 Mustang Grande trapped inside a collapsed barn, rescued it before it could be crushed, cleaned away decades of dirt, and brought its engine back to life.

Now, in the final part of the series, the Mustang drives out of the Iron City Garage under its own power for the first time in 30 years!

It still has a long way to go before it’s roadworthy—but seeing this forgotten Mustang move again made the entire rescue worth it.

🔥 IT’S ALIVE AFTER 30 YEARS!

After being trapped inside a collapsed barn and sitting silent for three decades, the engine in our 1970 Mustang Grande finally comes back to life—and man, does it sound good!

In Part 8, all the inspections and preparation finally pay off when this forgotten Mustang fires up for the first time in 30 years. Hearing that engine running again made the entire rescue worth it!
