🃏 A Sandwich Born from Bad Poker?

Let’s talk food history. Did you know THE REUBEN wasn’t created by a master chef meticulously planning a menu?

According to legend, it was invented in the 1920s because a guy named Reuben Kulakofsky got hungry during a high-stakes, late-night poker game in Omaha, Nebraska. He basically threw a chip into the pot and demanded the kitchen throw corned beef and sauerkraut between some bread.

Now, we don’t know if Reuben won that poker hand... but looking at this sandwich, we definitely won the jackpot. 🎰🥪

New York City still tries to claim they invented it first, but their version had turkey and coleslaw. Sorry, NYC. We side with the poker players.
