🚲💧 Tubeless riders — don’t forget your sealant! 💧🚲

If you’re running tubeless tires, keeping your sealant topped off is one of the simplest ways to prevent flats and keep your bike riding smooth. In Phoenix’s heat, sealant dries out faster than most riders realize — which means your puncture protection can disappear long before you notice.

Most riders should refresh their sealant every 2–4 months, and even sooner if you’re putting in big miles or riding daily.

Keeping your sealant fresh means:
🔧 Fewer flats
🔧 Better air retention
🔧 Longer tire life
🔧 Confidence on every ride

Not sure how much sealant you have left? Swing by Bicycles of Phoenix and we’ll check it, top it off, and make sure your tubeless setup is dialed in.

🌵 Keep your tires protected — keep your rides rolling.

E‑Bike & E‑Scooter Maintenance: Why Rear Tire Repairs Take More Time 🔧⚡
E‑bikes and e‑scooters are fantastic for getting around Phoenix, but they come with maintenance needs that are a little different from traditional bicycles — especially when it comes to rear tire repairs.

On many electric bikes and scooters, the rear wheel contains the motor, wiring, and axle hardware. Because of this design, removing the rear wheel often requires extra steps, including:

Disconnecting the motor cable

Removing the rear brake caliper to clear the rotor and axle

Carefully lifting the wheel out without stressing wiring or connectors

Reinstalling the caliper, aligning the brake, reconnecting the motor, and testing the system

None of these steps exist on a standard bicycle, but they’re essential for safe and proper service on electric models.

These added procedures mean that rear tire repairs on e‑bikes and e‑scooters can take more time — which can increase the labor charge compared to a traditional flat repair. It’s not just a tube swap; it’s a careful disassembly and reassembly of the bike’s braking and electrical systems.

At Bicycles of Phoenix, we take the time to do it right. Whether it’s a flat repair, tune‑up, or electrical diagnostic, we make sure your e‑bike or e‑scooter leaves the shop safe, smooth, and ready for the miles ahead.

Ride smart. Ride safe. And if your e‑bike or scooter needs attention, we’ve got you covered here at BOP. 🔧⚡🚲
