Just giving myself a pep talk tbh 🤭

But seriously, if you’ve been waiting to take your kid camping until the hit the right age, then what is the right age? Just go. Go prepared, pack extra, go somewhere easy, but just do it. Because it won’t get any easier the longer you wait.

We started camping with Gavin and Imogene both at very young ages, and now they beg us to go camping. This summer has been especially tough as they didn’t travel with me for expo season like they normally do and it has been brutally hot 🥵. So we are ALL excited to get out for a nice cool weekend in the mountains!

But our first time camping with our newest addition, we’re bound to forget to pack something. What do you think it will be? 🤔

Eight years ago today, we took a chance..

We took our first son, Gavin, camping. We had no idea what we were doing.

We were new parents. Overpacked, overthinking, and figuring it out as we went. Camping was something we thought we knew so well until we threw a newborn into the mix.

But we went anyway.

Looking back, we weren’t just taking Gavin on his first trip.

We were setting the tone for how he’d grow up.

Now we have three kids, and we’re still at it.

Collin’s first trip is coming up soon in the exact same place.

The same spot we took Imogene for her first campout too.

The same spot we took Gavin eight years ago.

Some places don’t just hold memories.

They shape your family...
