Sometimes when you’re out on the apply at a customer, Pops a fuse you have to custom make something to get them by so here’s just a little handy-dandy way to make a fuse holder and a fuse if you’re ever in this situation. Cut the two crimp ends off from some butt connectors, pictured here in the yellow. Just take the casing off use a lighter softens it up and then you’ve got two exposed terminals crimp Toir onto some wires, put some female spade connectors on the end of that insert fuse tape up and now you’ve made a homemade fuse holder to get you by. There is nothing like repairing water leaks on the Playa to make it an interesting day. It’s always the plastic fitting so I recommend removing the old plastic fitting install installing a brass fitting and then crimping. It typically don’t have any more problems after that . Who would these extremely warm summer temperatures? Customer is having some issues getting this thing cool down so I suggested they install a fan kit at the rear or the refrigerator to aid in Cooling and move that hot air. That’s trapped in their out faster. A few steps is removed the refrigerator out the hole so you can crawl in there mount the upper fan run your cable down and then mount your lower fan tied into the existing power set your temperature for on and off and let it run. It does feature a switch so when you put it in storage, you can turn this thermostat off. I had a suggest adding fans to the back of your two-way refrigerator. This also helped extend life saying how it does not have to work near as hard with no airflow than it does with the benefit of airflow? Blue Agave Rv Repair Timothy Stevens

Good afternoon fellow humans today’s project is a window regulator motor. These are always fun and entertaining. This is the first one that I’ve ever come across where they riveted the damn thing in most of the times it’s bolted before it had a great idea that we’re gonna rip it Humpty Dumpty in here if I ever had a time to sit in front of an engineer and explain to them how stupid some of the things are that they do I’d probably be there for years. But anyways, this customer is all set. New motors installed window goes up window goes down. They can enjoy their next upcoming trip without eating bugs as they drive down the highway. Today is Issue is a BMI solenoid acting goofy. I installed the so annoyed couple months back and the customer wasn’t having issues with some of his dash things not working and the clutch fan not engaging for his air conditioner. After pulling things apart, I found that the factory wired in the battery isolator solenoid that I took out to wire in this BMI two the chassis ignition controlled fuse panel. I don’t know why you would wire in your battery disconnect solenoid to power your chassis, ignition control fuse panel and I did not catch that when I first installed this which is the reason why he was losing mirrors the compressor fan the windshield wipers. So I needed to make that fuse panel wired to ignition solenoid to power it but at the same time, I have to isolate it from the system so that the alternator can power and charge the lithium ion batteries. After about two hours are trying to figure out what the hell the factory did, that’s what I came up with. So I have to add an another solenoid and have that hot tap that into the ignition switch so that it powers those few sections when the key is on and then do the same thing for the BMI relay so that when the key is on it charges, the battery is off the alternator. Needless to say sometimes I miss things and I have to do some further investigating to get it figured out, but I am sure happy. I got this figured out for the customer. Today’s repair is the lack of a right turn signal, this customer had the factory do a little repair work done at the factory and on their way home they had an intermittent right hand, brake hand turn signal. After some investigating, there was an open wire between the seven way pin and where it goes into the body back to the right turn signal. Trace this issue to a fantastic wire, but as I was pulling on it, you could actively hear it shorting in the wall so it was time to run a new wire. The choice of being an RV tech some days. Afternoon, fellow, humans or evening whenever this reaches you today’s roof seals brought to you by sweat on demand for when you feel like steamed vegetables during the day cause the roof seal you’re currently doing got you sweating now let’s get at it strip all the old stuff off, clean it up and then reseal. Man this humidity is something else this week. It’s recommended that you get up to inspect your roofs three times a year. I would suggest quarterly if you live in this beautiful state of Arizona you’re looking for a little cracks and voids in the sealant Blue Agave Rv Repair Timothy Stevens

Afternoon humans, today’s project is changing out a BAL Accu Slide motor assembly. Customer had waited a little bit cause these things are unpacked order cause they’re a hot item. Needless to say these motors are grinding and not moving the room in at all. So we gotta pull the whole mechanism out drill a hole for a pushing to support the motor now reinstall all parts adjust and make sure the proper tension on the cables and then finally test operation. Only takes a couple hours to get this done. Blue Agave Rv Repair Timothy Stevens

Well, here’s the second 12 V air conditioner. I installed this year fellow humans. I Had to remove the old Dometic,Cool Cat air conditioner that functions just doesn’t cool well enough for the customers liking. once once we get this routed and mounted going and install a quick connect port underneath to plug up the hall so we don’t have any water coming in and so we can hook up a solar panel so we can charge the batteries. All done and good now I’m gonna go home lay on the floor in front of my swamp cooler and take a nap.
