Fred Mueller Automotive is currently hiring automotive technicians in our Phillips, WI location.

The right candidates wanting to join our team must have experience as an auto mechanic on both cars and light trucks. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive wage, paid vacations, 401K, factory paid training and a comprehensive health package. In addition there is a $2,500 sign on bonus. $1,250 to be paid after 30 days and $1,250 after 90 days.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSNSIBILITIES:
• Utilize appropriate diagnostic equipment to check vehicle performance and trouble shoot problems.
• Conduct test drives, as appropriate.
• Ensure all work is complete, including any routine services such as lubrication and inspections.
• Adhere to all dealership and manufacturer procedures and policies.
• Abide by all safety precautions and emergency procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of manufacturer-specific information and tools.
• Communicate findings and work status to Service Advisor promptly.
• Work with fellow employees and contribute as a team player.
• Assure all repairs and services performed on vehicles are safe & problem free.
• Ensure work area remains clean, uncluttered and safe.
• Complete all manufacturers’ technical training and certification as required.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Parts Counter Specialist:

Parts Counter personnel serve Retail / Wholesale customers providing assistance in locating parts for automotive vehicles.

This position will also assist our Technician team in locating parts for vehicles being repaired in our shop.

Skills / Qualities Preferred:

Previous Dealership experience is preferred, however, training is available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Take customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying automotive parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions.

Display excellent customer satisfaction skills.

Maintain efficient communications within the department, as well as between departments.

Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise per dealership guidelines.

Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.

Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock.

Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and completing the appropriate record keeping.

Stay up to date on all factory training, keeping certifications updated and in the current year.

Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous Automotive Parts Counter experience preferred, however, training is available.

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record

This position is an hourly position with a monthly commission bonus structure.

· Write and prepare service repair order (RO)

· Review vehicle service history

· Helps identify vehicle issues with customer with questions and examples

· Keep customer up to date on vehicle repairs

· Advise customer of routine maintenance

· Explain work performed on vehicle upon customer pickup of vehicle and answer any questions

· Answer phone inquiries, schedule appointments and update customers

Job Requirements

· Automotive experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate

· Valid driver license
