In most cases in life , timing is everything luckily for the owner it was not a interference engine ...follow manufacturers recomendation especially when it comes to your timing belt service . If this was a interference engine as a most modern engine the Cost of repair could have exceeded the value of that car. Cheaper to replace when it's due ..lots cheaper .

I am very perplexed and disapointed at the same time .not sure if it's lack of knowledge or someone trying to just sell what they can ...landed at my door step .
No con cerns with pump operation just the fact that drive belt came off but to say that a complete pump and belt are needed to repair this truck instead of just the pully and belt is something I have a hard time understanding .

This can be very bad . A 2lb ring of iron sliding off at about , 2000 rpms the timing cover will not survive....well thier is always a chance . I guess
