As most of you have already seen, “Blue Collar Roots” was revealed at Mid-America Trucking Show this weekend and we felt it was necessary to share some of the pictures, stories and make some shoutouts to the folks that made this possible.

First and foremost, an extremely huge thank you to Wallis Transport for trusting us to build this truck as a tribute to their founder Bill Wallis. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Bill, I felt like I got to know him through the stories that were shared through the build.

This was an experience that will last a lifetime. The friendships and memories that were made in a short period of time will continue to be the greatest part of this build.

We are super proud of this beauty and although she didn’t bring home the gold, the amount of calls, messages, social media posts was so overwhelming and super appreciated. The real win with this was seeing the reaction of the owners getting to see it for the very first time on Saturday and that was worth more than any trophy.

Time for the shoutouts. The list is long but it truly takes an army to build a truck like this in such a short period of time. This list is no particular order but every single one of them was crucial to making this project successful or even possible.

🗣️We are hiring for the lead position as a Heavy Duty Truck Collision and Repair Technician 🗣️

This position will be responsible for repairs on new Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM), warranty claims, and standard collision repairs.
Requirements Include:
🔹Semi Truck Paint prepping and applying
🔹Training in Body Shop and estimating
🔹Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy duty truck Body Shop environment
The successful candidate will perform in an effective and efficient manner while focusing on communication, quality, and organization.

After much anticipation, our good friends John & Kerry are taking their beautiful ride “Afternoon Delight” on her maiden voyage! They’re heading off to Super Rigs in Atlanta and she’s just right for the flight! Be sure to stop in and check this beauty out if you’re in the Atlanta area this weekend!!

We’re still in awe with the reaction for the debut “Afternoon Delight” received this year at MATS! We’re extremely proud of how it turned out and honered for the opportunity of building this show piece for John & Kerry Puryear Dunnigan!! They sure have a real show stopper!!

The list is long but I want to give a huge shout out to the crew that helped make this possible!! It basically takes a small army to accomplish a build like this
Justin Brune, Matt Thomas, they just absolutely killed it on the paint.
Christopher Sanders made sure the body was straighter than factory.
Brad Jessica Krauss, Ricky Wann and Cody G Sutterer for all the help throughout the build.
And an EXTREMELY HUGE SHOUTOUT to Neil Winschel for all the late nights and long weekends trying to make sure this build got completed in time. He made sure this truck was a real functional truck!!
Chris Gebhardt with Gebhardt Enterprises made us one of the classiest interiors!!Andy Hadler with Hadler Welding & Repair for all the fabrication work and much more that he did on this project!!
Mike with Altenburg Machine for the highest level of one off products he made for us.
Larry with Larry Schmidt Truck Parts for all the help with the transmissions and drive lines.
Austin Eakins with Midnite Shine for getting everything dialed in!
And finally hats off to Jeff with 12 Ga. Customs for understanding the vision and creating some of the best products in the custom truck world!! It was real pleasure working with them!!
Im sure there is many more that we haven’t mentioned but we appreciated everyone’s hand in it.

Thanks again to the Dunnigan’s!! It was a lot of fun and a build I don’t think any of us will ever forget!
