On March 4th as part of our Sister Check-In, I have invited Licenced Psychologist and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist Dr. Wallace to be our guest speaker in Mental Health and Wellness. She will touch on the following areas:

Good Morning Beautiful people! Just saw this and wanted to pass it along. Blessings🌺

"When I take the time out to teach my child something again, and again, and again, it’s not a waste of my time.

➡️They aren’t doing anything wrong by not knowing how.
➡️They aren’t doing anything wrong by forgetting.
➡️They aren’t trying to misbehave.

And let me ask you: If you DON’T teach it/they DON’T learn it, will you have SAVED time by doing it all yourself when:
1. They are old enough to move out and can’t because they won’t know how to survive without your help? 👵🏽
2. They could have learned it and been saving you time for years?

Parenting is definitely a long game. 😅

Being patient though… saves TIME. NOT just in the long run either!

CHOOSING to take the slower route of teaching them, with patience, leaves you less frazzled and more able to transition between tasks and activities. 😌

You’ll have more realistic expectations of your day, and not be left feeling like you’ve been abandoned, with no help & no one appreciating what you’ve done…

Choosing to take the time to teach, and BE IMPRESSED BY their willingness to try new things again and again without giving up, without beating themselves up, without shame at their imperfections… 🤯

…creates DEEP bonding, DEEP understanding, and an AMAZING 🤩 connection even if you don’t have the time in your day to PLAY for an hour with no distractions."🤾‍♀️
