Nasse Stays Hot, Sweeps Coca-Cola Twin 100 Blizzard Races and Earns $25K

Stephen Nasse has let it be known he likes to put on a show.
The Pinellas Park driver has stood center stage at Five Flags Speedway a lot recently.
Seven months ago, Nasse was celebrating a victory of a lifetime when he won the Snowball Derby. This weekend, the 31-year-old Super Late Model driver delivered a heck of an encore.
Nasse backed up Friday night’s win in the Tibbett’s Lumber 100 with another commanding performance and return to Victory Lane in the Cook Out 100 on Saturday.
These were the second and third races of the four-feature Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series season slate.
Each 100-lapper paid $10,000 to win. Nasse’s doubleheader sweep earned him an additional $5,000 bringing his Coca-Cola Twins prize winnings to $25,000.
“It definitely makes the weekend sweeter,” Nasse said. “I can’t say enough about the job this Anthony Campi Racing team did, It’s why I go with them to all the big races.”
Nasse and ACR are perennial contenders anywhere they unload when they’re not teamed up. Together, they are Category 5 hurricane destroying anything in its path.
The difference was on full display this weekend. Nasse, who ribs himself on being a subpar qualifier, qualified third Saturday and second Friday. He was also a threat all weekend to pass on the outside—notoriously tough at Five Flags—showing the strength of the ACR cars.
“It might look easier to drive, but it’s definitely a handful,” Nasse said “It’s fast. Carson (Brown) showed a lot of this car’s capabilities. If the team can fine-tune it to what I want to feel, we’ll be a force to deal with come Derby time.”
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Jake Garcia finished second and the legendary Bubba Pollard took home the final podium spot.
“We’ve got a lot to improve on,” Garcia said. “I’m already thinking about what I can do for the next race. We made some changes today after a lotta thinking last night, and we came back today a lot better.”
While Nasse swept the races, Pollard swept the poles. On a much warmer qualifying period than his Friday night sprint, Pollard scored the fast time (16.673 seconds) two nights in a row.
“We just gotta keep working on our stuff,” Pollard said. “I’ve got speed now. We’ll get there and get it to where it needs to be.”
Pollard led the opening 39 laps before a caution flew and shuffled things up. Nasse worked the outside groove on the restart and ripped the lead from Pollard on the high side just like he did at the start of Friday night’s race.
Garcia made a late push but never came within three car lengths of Nasse.
“The guys are working so hard in the shop, and they’ll keep working,” Nasse said. “There are still bugs to work out, but we’re going home with two wins.”

Gulf Real Estate Group Pro Trucks
Colton Kelly had a cheat code in the pits Saturday night at Five Flags Speedway.
Steven Davis was helping the 15-year-old driver with his No. 18 truck this weekend. Davis is the defending Gulf Real Estate Group Pro Trucks track champion and a three-time Snowball Derby trucks winner.
Some of that success and insight rubbed off. Kelly collected his first career win in a truck, leading all but one of the 25 laps in the Gulf Real Estate Group Pro Trucks feature.
“I haven’t had a lotta luck at this track,” Kelly said. “Finally getting a win, it means the world to me. I’m having a blast. I’m so excited we won here.
“I can’t thank Davis enough for helping to get this truck where it needed to go: Victory Lane. We were so fast this weekend.”
Dawson Spivey and Tucker Byrd were second and third, respectively.
“This was my first time racing a truck, and I didn’t know what to think,” Spivey said. “I’m thankful I’ve got some good guys helping me.”

The Dock on Pensacola Beach Street Stocks
Even when his equipment isn’t top notch, Chad Robinson still is.
The Mobile driver remained undefeated in 2026 with his fourth 25-lap feature win in The Dock on Pensacola Beach Street Stocks division Saturday at Five Flags Speedway. Robinson did it all with the assistance of a shifter k**b.
“It always gets loose, and I always gotta tighten it up,” he explained.
Despite winning by a comfortable 2.5 seconds, Robinson was sweating coming down the stretch.
“I got lucky today. I ain’t gonna lie,” Robinson said. “I knew Darvin (Lyons) was coming. Luck fell in my favor. And I’d rather be lucky than good.”
Robinson was both Saturday. The $250 bounty he was the target of because of his perfect start went uncollected and will be back on the line June 26.
Lyons was the fast qualifier (19.884 seconds) and was second to Robinson on Lap 15. But Lyons fell off and Robinson coasted for win No, 4.
Pensacola’s Jim Pokrant was second and Mason Johnston finished third.

“I thought I could crossover Chad there for a second, but it didn’t happen,” Pokrant said.
Johnston, the defending Pure Stocks track champion, had his best result since making the leap up a division.
“It feels a lot better than ninth,” Johnston joked. “This team works on the car day-in and day-out. We’re gonna get better.”

Lloyd’s Glass Pure Stocks
Colby McDonald crossed Mobile Bay on Saturday eyeing an extra $250 at Five Flags Speedway.
The Semmes, Ala., native had to settle for his first checkered flag of 2026 at Pensacola’s high banks. McDonald led the final 14 laps en route to the Lloyd’s Glass Pure Stocks 25-lap feature win. He became the first driver not named Ely Loper this season to make the trip to Victory Lane.
“It’s been a minute since I’ve been here,” McDonald said. “We didn’t come to run second, we came to run for all the money.”
Unfortunately, there was no exchange of the $250 bounty that was placed on Loper after his perfect, 3-for-3 start to the year. Loper’s night ended early when he brought his orange No. 15 to the pits on Lap 21. Bounties are only collected at Five Flags when the driver, who is the target of the bounty, is on the track at the end of the race.
“Anyway, we got a checkered flag,” a disappointed McDonald said when informed of the rule.
Dylan Courtney was runner-up and Pensacola’s Caleb Burkett came home third for his best finish on the season.
Courtney and Loper had a few exchanges Saturday. Courtney brought out the caution on Lap 7 when he spun in front of Loper, who was an eyelash away from the No. 10’s bumper just as Courtney began turning.
A restart followed, but the field of nine cars couldn’t complete an official lap before Loper and Courtney were tangled again. This time, as Courtney slid under his opponent’s left quarter panel, Loper came down from his outside line and left his new rival with little choice but to drive through him.
“Somebody needs to learn how to drive. Somebody needs to figure out,” Courtney said, not directly calling out Loper, but the message was clear. “I don’t think I did anything wrong.”
