BMW Finger Lakes Riders' Association

BMW Finger Lakes Riders' Association Finger Lakes Riders' Association is a chartered club of the BMW Riders' Association. We are dedicated to riding and supporting our local community.

So how does this all work? We believe the goal of the club is to ride. We also believe that the club should help facilitate members finding and communicating with each other in order to plan rides. With this goal in mind we are looking to set a defined club ride schedule during the peak riding season but rely on members to plan and share rides with each other. Club Organized Rides and Gatherings

The goal is to spend time riding so we have come up with a quick key to help you make sense of the different events that we post. Ride - We will be looking to have scheduled club rides. The goal being to ride. We will pick a location and a meeting time. We will post the starting location and time for a ride as well as the destination and target time for the meetup. We know that not everyone likes to ride in a group so we hope people take advantage of the destination target time. Social - Since we cannot always ride we will have a few social gatherings through the year. Meeting - Since we are a club we will need to have meetings from time to time. We are hoping to have most of them in the winter to take care of business, define rides and set the calendar annually. FYI - We will use the FYI designation to point out non-club events and gatherings of interest. Scheduled Club Rides

The club is going to have planned rides the 3rd weekend of the month between the months of May and August. Outside of these planned rides, members are going to be able to use club technology in order to plan, invite and meet up with other members. Member Organized Rides

We are working on a way for members to define and communicate with other members when they are looking to organize rides.

4th Annual FLRA - Frosty Nutz Campout with Yankee Beemers - Join Us!
Thu, Apr 27, 2017 12:00pm Sun, Apr 30, 2017 4:00pm

Break out your rally cups again! The 2017 season kicks off with a little early spring camping at the Frosty Nutz Rally in Vermont. Bring your sleeping bag, a sweater and a warm hat. We will be riding the twisties through the Adirondacks on the way up, hanging out around a bonfire at Wilgus State Park, and planning our day with morning coffee. There is a a mix of lean-tos, Connecticut River-facing camp sites, and a few cabins (first come-first serve). Firewood is available on site, and there is a store and butcher shop nearby.

Hot coffee every morning but you MUST bring your own cup. You can bring your own dinner to cook over the campfire, and as usual there will be a dinner Friday night for everyone to enjoy. Feel free to bring bread, cheese, sausage, venison etc to share. Its a great way to get to know the Yankee Beemers and FLRA club members. There is a communal fire area, and each site has fire pit with a grill over it. It is one of the better facilities in the Vermont Park System for campfire chefs!

Folks often will gather at the coffee pot / campfire as soon as the sun comes up (or earlier) and plan rides to eat. See ya there!

While this is spring camping, typically the weather during the day is quite warm. Typical overnight temps get close to, but rarely below freezing. If you would like to reserve a cabin, please contact the YB rally chairs. Cabins are first-come, first serve and sleep 4-6 people. They are not heated, but have electricity.

Rally Fee is $25. Pay Online at the FLRA Web Store - https://squareup.com/store/flra
