“You are about to meet a true international beauty. With a shape that blends elegance with excitement. Corvair for 1965.”

That’s was Chevrolets advertising for the all new for 1965 Corvair. True then and true today. Here we have an example of what many consider the holy grail, a top tier Corsa coupe with a 180 HP turbocharger and a four speed manual transmission. A breathtaking presentation with its code correct Mist Blue paint over a white bucket seat interior. Just stunning.

Said to be a southern car until 2007, it was correctly restored around that time. Admittedly, this car was originally built with the 140, four carb engine but a correct, 65 date coded turbo engine was correctly installed to replace it. If you didn’t know, you wouldn’t know. Beautifully done.

Its restoration has held up amazingly well with minor upgrades since like an electric fuel pump, engine wiring harness, fuel tank and sending unit more recently. Also those very comfortable and tasteful adjustable front bucket seats with headrests and belts. Great for long road trips.

A very turn key car. Needs nothing to speak of. Everything works with the exception of the clock. Ready for show and go. Be a part of a very unique and rare group of individuals that can dazzle even the ridged if car show participants with that shiny turbocharger. Everyone will ask what it is.

That’s a wrap on Hershey 2026. The annual AACA (Antique Automobile Club Of America) swap meet and concours. Acres and acres of neglected dreams, lost ambitions, renewed excitement, once and a lifetime finds and most of all, comradery amongst like minded enthusiasts. The rust runs deep within our veins. A highly recommend event for any car enthusiasts….

In honor of the limited production 1968 Mustang California Special, Ford decided to revive it in 2007. With a limited production of just 2,601 CS convertible’s produced and sold that year. All were unfitted premium GT models which makes them quite sought after and collectible to many. With its unique front and rear facias, side scoops, striping and interior. Finding a good one is tough. Finding an affordable one is even tougher.

Today I feature one of the cleanest examples of this generation Mustang I’ve come across in a very long time. An original, accident free body with fully reconditioned and paint corrected ebony black paint (Only 4 colors were available). Lots of recent and long term maintenance documented as well. This one has accumulated 75,905 miles.

As loaded as you’d expect. A 4.6 V8 under the hood and the obligatory five speed manual transmission behind it. Everything works. Just serviced and ready for leaf peeping season. What’s better than that?

COVER MODEL. Today I feature something I haven’t offered in a long time. An offering from the first of two generations of Corvair. This is the 1962 Monza Club Coupe. Chevy sold close to two million Corvairs in the course of its lifetime and 1962 saw one of its highest production. I can see why. Here we have the perfect example of the secret sauce that even GM themselves didn’t realize at first. An economical four seat, four speed coupe with bucket seats and loads of style and fun. The pony car market was off and running shortly thereafter.

This particular example wears its original coded Roman Red finish and has a super contrasting lipstick red bucket seat interior. Fully restored years ago down in Florida, this car actually made the Macy’s spring catalog cover. This car was and always has been driven regularly with reliability and pride. A real looker too. We just completed a full paint correction and installed Clark’s updated fuel pump. Recently tuned and carbs rebuilt too. This one is ready to go.

On April 1st 1978, a young lady walked into Paul Patry Pontiac in Garrettsville OH and ordered herself this brand new Firebird Formula. Due to the popularity of the model at the time, her car took almost 3 months to arrive. Obviously enamored with her new purchase, she kept her Pontiac garaged, in pristine condition and only accumulated 33K miles on the odometer over the next 37 years! That brings us to 2015 when the second and most recent owner took ownership. He accumulated another 15K miles and so now we offer this TWO OWNER, 48K mile survivor offered for sale.

The Formula model was a step below the top tier Trans Am and above the Esprit and base model. The Formula is seldom seen with its low production of just 24,346 built (over 93K Trans Am’s were made that year). The Formula package had some very nice, more subtle performance features yet could be optioned out pretty much however you wanted. Lots of the right option boxes were checked on this one as comfort and luxury seemed to be more desired. We have a copy of the original window sticker to view (see pictures) but include some noteworthy upcharges..

- Power Windows
- Tilt Steering
- Cruise Control
- Gauge Package
- Air Conditioning (ice cold)
- Custom Trim Group (velour!)

All Formulas came standard with Chevy’s borrowed 305 V8 and this is so equipped. A floor shifted automatic transmission was bolted behind it. Pontiac called the color Laredo Brown (looks more bronze to me) and from what we can tell, the paint is original. This car has never been restored, modified or messed with. A true, turn key survivor.
