We are so grateful, thankful, and blessed! Thanksgiving and November mark SIX years since Barry came to me and said he was quitting his job & was headed to Tennessee to buy a service truck to open our own business…I can only imagine how he feels watching this business grow like it has since I reopened ☺️

We love and appreciate all of our customers…without you we wouldn’t be around. We are thankful you trust us to get you back on the road as quick as we can with our honesty behind the work that was done/needs to be done.

The girls and I are thankful for Garrett & Noah…without you guys, we wouldn’t have anything…you are the face of the business and I am proud of how we’ve found our rhythms at the shop.

I’m thankful I have two good mechanics that I trust with this business.…ones that have lived up to my expectations and have been patient and taught me so many things along the way…

Last but not least, the girls & I are so thankful for this shop… the guys…the customers…the environment…the friends…it is truly the heartbeat of who we are and I am forever grateful that we took that leap of faith six years ago, I took that leap of faith last year, and that God has blessed us beyond measure with 2 great mechanics, great customers, and continued growth.

Today marks 1 year since re-opening and what a year it has been! As scary as it was to take this jump “alone” I’m thankful I did…it has been a lot of learning and adjusting but it’s been a joy to see so many of our same customers come back 👏🏻

I’m beyond blessed by the mechanics and customers I have…owning your own business can be so difficult but having honest mechanics and customers who actually care make all the difference in the world…. 🙌🏻

If you’re tired of paying for “fixes” you aren’t sure are necessary or constantly waiting for somewhere to get you in, give us a try! I’ve heard so many positive comments about the honesty & communication that Noah & Garrett have with customers, which was a big emphasis of mine to continue the legacy of how our shop started.

I’ll try to do better at keeping our page updated this coming year so you can see what keeps us so busy 👌🏻 Fall is right around the corner…give us a call to get harvest ready…from A/C to DOT to oil leaks to transmissions and injectors…we’ll try to get you scheduled and in & out so you can be confident in your trucks & trailers!

We’ve been quiet on social media but we’ve been busy at the shop…so busy we added another mechanic to our team!

Garrett will be starting his 4th week tomorrow at Big Bear Repair and his addition to the shop has been great!

We were having to schedule customers weeks out and having a slower turnaround time at the shop due to service calls so we knew something needed to change. Honesty and communication with customers are the most important but turnaround time follows next so hiring another full time mechanic felt like the best option, especially knowing our dreams/goals for the shop!

Noah & Garrett both have their favorite areas of trucks to work on so it’s great to have them work side by side to serve our customers

We’re working on a few things to get our name out there, which after 5 years of serving the Pella area, seems crazy that a lot of people still haven’t heard of us, but we hope that changes! If you know of anyone waiting to get into a diesel shop to get work done, refer them to us! We have loved serving all our regulars but now feel like we can expand to serve many new customers…share our post if you would to help us reach more people!

As I reflect on 2021 at Big Bear Repair...I find myself going all the way back to how this whole thing started. December 2021 marked our 5-year anniversary of going out on our own...I had wanted to do a fun give away or celebrate somehow but never came up with anything, haha!
It all started with this Big Ole Mack Service truck and we were so proud of it...but we were so blessed with the opportunity to rent a permanent spot where we are currently located. So many changes have happened in the last 5 years and its been fun to watch this business grow.
Noah and I are working on some deals for 2022 to get our name out there, get new customers thru the doors, and give a little break to our current customers! 🙌🏻
We have big goals and dreams for this shop so let's see where 2022 takes us! 🎉

Happy thanksgiving, from our family to yours ❤️

So many reasons to be thankful this year, but I’ll sum them up quickly!

- I’m thankful that 2021 marks 5 years for Big Bear Repair
- I’m thankful that this week marked 3 months of being back open
- I’m thankful for all of our amazing customers, both returning and new!
- I’m thankful that the love & dedication Barry put into this business is allowing me a way to continue his legacy
- I’m thankful that Noah has stepped up and into this business and made the reopening transition pretty smooth

We are so thankful ☺️

We reopened just over a month ago and what a busy month it has been 🙌🏻

It’s been fun for me to see customers again and have the sights and smells of a diesel shop

Noah has done a great job adjusting from a big shop in Des Moines to a small one man shop. We’re thankful for patience from customers when things have taken longer than expected.

We are pretty blessed to have a great supportive community / group of customers that have come back to us after being closed so long

We’re praying that the farmers have a safe & bountiful harvest this year.

If you break down in the middle of harvest and can’t make it to the shop, give us a call and we’ll come to you! 🐻

We look forward to the future of the shop! Thank you for all the prayers & encouragement along the way ❤️
