Janet from Palm Springs, CA was not messing around when she ordered this 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. This woman walked into the Mercury dealer in March of ‘03 and essentially said, “Give me every retirement community flex package available.”

And boy did they deliver.

This is a true Job 1 car with a production date of 05/02 — one of the earliest built examples you could get. Ford’s Job 1 cars are always neat because they tend to have better fit and finish, little quirks, extra insulation, and oddball features that quietly disappear once the Ford accountants wake up later in the model year.

Janet didn’t care to just blend in though. Janet cared about PRESENCE.

So she ordered:
• The vinyl top
• Gold emblems
• White walls
• Chrome wheels
• Stainless rocker trim
• Wheel arch moldings

Basically every aftermarket option short of a chandelier hanging from the rearview mirror.

This thing looks like it should be parked outside a casino buffet while Neil Diamond plays softly through the speakers.

Janet lovingly cared for this car until her passing, after which I shipped it here a few years ago. I sold it to a local client on Cape Cod who enjoyed it for about 3,000 miles before apparently suffering some sort of emotional event and trading Janet in for a Camaro Convertible.

Sad.

You don’t replace a woman like Janet with a Camaro. Janet made deviled eggs for the neighborhood party and remembered everyone’s birthday. The Camaro will have you wearing New Balance shoes and Oakley sunglasses while you wipe it down for cars and coffee.

Anyway, Janet is back and looking for her next companion.

Offered at $13,995. If you’ve been searching for a low mileage Palm Springs land yacht with enough curb appeal to qualify for Social Security, here she is.

No I didn’t fall off the Town Car bandwagon and hit my head. I’ve always had an admiration for these Lincolns, and when a little old Italian lady from Staten Island 🇮🇹 says “Anthony, you want the car?” the answer is apparently yes.

This 2009 Lincoln MKS spent its life doing exactly what every retired New Yorker dreams of: escaping to Florida for the winter. Salt? Never heard of her. Just 48k miles from new.

And can we talk about the naming? This should’ve been called a Continental. Instead Ford decided every luxury car needed a random combination of letters like it’s a WiFi password.

This one is loaded too:
• Panoramic moonroof
• Heated and cooled seats
• Push button start
• Camel leather with blue accents
• Lincoln stars stitched into the headrests
• Optional 20” wheels that Nana definitely curbed at least once outside a Boca Raton hair salon

Color is White Chocolate, optional color upgrade!

We fully sorted the car before sale with:
• 4 new tires
• Front and rear brakes
• Rear calipers
• Fresh oil change
• Interstate battery

And my favorite part — Nana and Papa drove this thing from New York to Florida every year but NEVER used the navigation. Why? Because they trusted the fold up maps that they used to collect at the toll booths more than “the lady in the dashboard.”

Offered at $12,995

Thanks to Jeff in Colorado and Paden locally in Massachusetts for the quick sales this week. Both cars sold the same day they were listed and are already en route — or have arrived — with their new caretakers. Always grateful to connect these special cars with people who truly appreciate them.

A few more are on deck for next week, so stay tuned. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and God Bless America 🇺🇸

Just a friendly reminder I don’t charge any bogus “dealer fees”. And for all you Vogue Tire worshippers out there, they aren’t made in the USA.

Full blown Paw Paw spec for sale on the side of the road. Unfortunately she isn’t the nicest 79k mile car so we had to leave her. But I best she was a looker in her day down at the Cracker Barrel.

Top of the line for the turn of the century! 2000 Lincoln Town Car Cartier (that’s car-tee-ayee!) with just 42k miles! One single-family owned car, originally bought new as a gift for the owner’s father, then lovingly kept in the family after his passing. This beautiful Town Car has clearly been cherished since day one.

Some of you may remember back in January when Papa Bear and I flew down to Naples and drove this cream puff all the way home to NH. From then until now, it’s gone through over $2,000 worth of mechanical refreshing. Did it need it? No — we drove it home without major issue and I bought it “needing nothing.” But around here, “good enough” doesn’t get the SMC stamp of approval.

So it received an updated intake manifold, coolant flush, upper and lower ball joints, pads and rotors, sway bar links, battery, four fresh white wall tires, and more. Now she’s fully sorted and ready to glide down the road exactly like a Cartier Town Car should.

Factory chrome wheels, moonroof, heated leather seats — this thing is loaded with peak turn-of-the-century luxury. Fresh out of the country club parking lot energy.

Offered at $15,995.

She has officially been sold! Huge thanks to everyone who reached out about this special car. It’s always cool seeing how many people appreciate these old land yachts as much as I do.

One side note that came up during this sale — I don’t make promises on “first calls,” hold spots, callback lists, or dibs on cars. I also don’t price cars before they are fully gone through, sorted, photographed, and officially ready for sale.

I know that can sometimes cause confusion or disappointment, and I totally understand why people ask. But there’s a reason I handle things this way, and I think I’ll make a video soon explaining the process and why it’s the only fair way for me to do it.

Now onto the next grandma-spec masterpiece. 😎

Absolute time capsule condition here! You all saw it when it came in — the GM Employee-owned DeVille. I had tons of people reach out asking when it would finally be available… well, now it is! 😎

This is an AMAZING example of these early ‘90s Cadillacs, and one with a story to match. Ordered brand new by the Facilities Manager at the GM Powertrain plant in upstate New York, this 1991 Cadillac DeVille stayed with him until 2022 before passing into one collector’s hands and now to us.

And trust me, this thing was LOVED from day one. The condition absolutely backs it up.

Fully sorted and ready to enjoy with thousands recently spent on maintenance and updates including:
✅ New tires
✅ Brakes
✅ Fuel tank
✅ Fuel pump & sending unit
✅ Injectors
✅ AC compressor
✅ And more!

Best part? The trunk comes with a giant bin full of documentation, memorabilia, paraphernalia, and pedigree. The kind of stuff collectors DREAM about finding with a car like this.

Just 33k original miles on this absolutely stunning 1991 Cadillac DeVille. These clean, unmodified, well-documented survivors are getting nearly impossible to find — especially with this kind of ownership history.

I’ll warn you now, the walk-around video is a bit long… but a car this special deserved to be documented properly!

Offered at just $17,995
(For reference, the previous owner bought this car from a collector car dealer in Upstate NY for $22k three years ago — and that was BEFORE all the recent sorting and mechanical work!)
