We are deeply distraught over the sudden and tragic loss of Robert Thornton. Robert was gravely injured on Feb 13 when struck by a vehicle in a secondary incident while trying to clear a crash scene for Nick’s Towing service where he worked. After a long battle, Thornton was taken off life support on Feb 27th.
Robert was 31 years old, a tow truck driver, a Moonachie EMT and an organ donor. It would seem apparent that the man wanted to help others and continued to do so after his death.
We cannot stress enough for the public to please respect First Responders by SLOWING DOWN AND MOVING OVER! Let’s be more conscious, responsible drivers so that tragedies like this can be avoided.
RIP Robert Thornton and we send our deepest condolences to his loved ones.

As big supporters of our local police departments and the brave heroes that serve to protect us every day - we want to take a moment to pay our deepest respects for Officer Rivera and Officer Mora.
This was a major, senseless tragedy that pains countless New Yorkers and people outside the state. Their selfless, courageous dedication to the belief of a safer world will always be remembered.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and their fellow brothers in blue.
To all law enforcement officers - thank you for all you risk and all that you do. We stand by you.
