Nova Gallery ART AND FINE CUSTOM FRAMING SINCE 1986 Our goal is to serve the community by supporting creative diversity and providing a visual context for our community.

The works we exhibit come in the form of sculpture, painting and drawing, collage, photography, print-making, installation and video. Above all, our gallery artists reflect the issues of today- globalism, new technology, politics, contemporary urban society, the environment—yet in dynamic dialogue with the histories and aesthetics of the past. This vintage 1913 French postcard features a black cat resting in a bed, with the caption "Porte Veine," meaning "bringer of luck."

At the time, black cats were linked to superstition, so the card playfully presents the cat as a symbol of good fortune.

I love black cats. They deserve more love!
