Yesterday was a day of victory 🥳🥳 A customer reached out over a broken bolt, and to be honest, I was not optimistic. It looked like too bad of a situation to have a successful extraction. But I maintained a level head, kept my patience, and did every step with care. And wouldn't you know it, success was achieved 😎 This proves that you should always try your best, even if you might fail; because eventually you will succeed 🔥🔥

I'd like to wish my work truck (nicknamed "Dale") a Happy Birthday 🥳🎂 Ol' Boy hit the big 200k last week. Even though he isn't the prettiest, he's tough (which is great because mechanics hate working on their own stuff 😅). I can count on one hand the amount of times he's left me stranded, and that might not sound like a big deal, but it is considering the amount of driving I do. I sometimes drive 3 hours per day, multiple days a week; both interstate and city miles. Dale doesn't bat an eye and takes whatever I can throw at him (with proper maintenance of course). Please wish Dale a Happy Birthday, and cheers to many more years of him delivering quality service to your driveway 🥳

I was called out for a brake line repair, and once I arrived a rusty line was a pretty quick giveaway.
The section that failed unfortunately isn’t sold separately; it normally comes as part of a full line kit. Instead of buying the entire set, I fabricated a new section to repair the damaged area. This is where workmanship really matters. Some mechanics will bend a quick replacement line just enough to make it work, but I took the extra time to match the factory bends so the line routes properly, clears surrounding components, and looks the way it should.

With every visit, customers also get a safety and condition check at no extra cost. It’s something I do to make sure there aren’t other issues that could turn into bigger problems down the road.
During the inspection I found both front upper ball joints had some play, the sway bar links were worn, and the front brake pads were extremely thin. The customer approved replacing the pads while I was there and will keep the other items in mind for the future.

That’s the value of a proper inspection; no pressure, just good information so the owner knows exactly what’s going on with their vehicle and can plan repairs when the time is right.

Hello everyone, I have an update that I think you’ll like: Rooted Auto Services will be reopening its doors.

To make a long story short, the dealership I was working at made some changes after I started that didn’t align with what I originally agreed to. I took some time to think it through, and I’ve decided I’d be happier giving this another shot.

I never really wanted to step away in the first place -- I was just trying to create financial stability for my future. After weighing everything out, I believe this is the right move.

There will be a few changes this time around, and I’ll need your support more than ever. Customer outreach was my biggest challenge before, and without a big advertising budget, word of mouth makes all the difference. If you’ve ever supported my work, I’d truly appreciate you sharing this post and telling others about Rooted Auto Services.

I will also be increasing my hourly rate to $100/hour. I know that may not work for everyone, but it’s necessary to keep this sustainable long-term. I stand behind my pricing because I provide quality work with the added convenience of being mobile -- saving you time, towing costs, and shop markups.

I’m excited for this next chapter and grateful for everyone who continues to support small businesses like mine.

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great day. I'm making this announcement with a heavy heart:

Beginning January 19th, Rooted Auto Services will cease normal operation. I've been tossing around the idea of switching career paths for the past 6 months due to financial stability reasons. I have a lot of good months throughout the year, but also a lot of slow ones. Very slow. I believe the problem boils down to customer outreach, which would require me to put more funding into advertising ---- funding that I do not have the ability to spend. I've gained many regulars over the years that I am so grateful for. I love my job. Being able to help keep people in a safe, reliable vehicle brings me lots of joy and satisfaction. If it were possible, I would continue this full time.

I've spent the past few months browsing the job market to see if there were any good fits for me. This last month I received a job offer that I couldn't pass up. I will be stepping into a leadership role at a local dealership. I believe my self-employment will bring valuable insight to their establishment, and I will continue to hold my core values at heart while working there.

When I started this company back in 2021, I wanted to make a difference in the automotive industry; which is filled with so many shops that want to scam and steal every dollar to your name. While trying to think of a name that would be a good fit, the values that my parents taught me while growing up kept popping into my head. I eventually came up with the name "Rooted" to reflect the morals that I grew up with. To stay true to my roots ---- do good by people and make an honest living.

I am not closing my doors forever. Not at this point, at least. I will remain available to answer any questions you might have, and give you the best advice I can. I may occasionally schedule small repairs on my days off, but I cannot let any work affect my new job. It would not be fair to my employer. I will not be accepting any new work for the time being.

I appreciate all the support you have given me throughout the years. I am so very thankful for you all!
