According to German publications, Tesla is already unofficially beating the Nurburgring lap time of the Porsche Taycan. Recorded by a photographer, the car clocked a 7:23 time around the track, with the current fastest 4-door electric car record holder, the Porsche Taycan recording a time of 7:42. Of course, this isn't a standard Model S, but a "Model S Plaid", which Tesla say will go into production in October/November.
