Today at 12:15 a.m. we lost a great man Tom “Yogi” Boyer (my dad) he was well known at River Mart and sometimes was referred to as the grandpa of RiverMart. He retired in 2012 after being in the car business for 48 years in Potosi. The plans for my dad were different than most retirees no rocking chairs, naps etc. He was a worker and a people person. He quickly jumped in and started helping me at River Mart. He was the most loyal volunteer ever. He was our bank man,fix whatever is broke and our moral support person. He enjoyed not only the River Mart team but our customers too. He was always ready to help everyone and most of all me to succeed in whatever I did. He had many great stories and even more wise words. My dad was an honest hardworking businessman and he shared his knowledge with all of us. The last two months have been a struggle for him but he stayed around to bring in 2022 with his family. Please keep my mom, Tia, Abi and I in your prayers as we go through the transition of living our lives without our leader, protector and supporter.

Today Nash Davis part of the River Mart group lost his dear momma Carla Crocker. Her face, smile, and laugh will be recognized by many. She was very involved in her children’s activities, her community, and her work. She loved her community, and knew most everyone in it,and if she didn’t she would introduce herself and become your friend. Carla was a friend to all, but she also had a few very close friends who became like family to her. She was a hard worker, donated a lot of her time, the life of every party,Central Rebel supporter and her favorite job was being a Mother. She was so proud of Nash and Hattie and might have even bragged on them a time or two. It was always fun to hear stories about them. Please keep Nash and Hattie in your thoughts and prayers. They need them now and in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
We send our deepest condolences and sympathy to Mary,Mark,Shelly, and Grandpa Norman.

Tonight is the 1st night in a long time Kary Buckley will get a good nights sleep. The last 34 years Kary works during the day and answers calls throughout the night.
The sale of Buckley Towing was final today. The new owner is Kyle Bonney.
Kary was 29 years old when he started Buckley Towing with his wife Kim by his side. Kary,Kim,Kristein and Kolby the family behind Buckley Towing. The people who help us and our family members during a tragedy, a snowy night, or when we lock our keys in our car. You have probably seen Kolby behind the wheel of a Buckley Towing truck a few times or talked to Kim as she was dispatching calls. Buckley Towing is special to so many of us because of the family behind it. This family has been very active in our community and Kary is always the first to donate for everything. Kary always says “We have to help those kids”. The young people of this community always knew they could count on The Buckley’s
This is not retirement for Kary. He is closing this chapter and beginning a new one. You will now see him on the campaign trail pursuing the position of 1st District Commissioner of St Francois County.
If you know this family or their employees you love them. I would like to say Thank You to Buckley Towing for everything you have contributed to this wonderful Community we live in. Let’s all join together and congratulate The Buckley Family for owning and running a successful, honest, dependable business the last 34 years.
Kary Buckley we all will miss seeing you in your Buckley Towing trucks.

This morning is a sad day for so many as we mourn the loss of the dear friend Mark was to each of you. His smile, laughter, kind words, stories, and hugs will be missed by so many. Mark had a way of making you feel special. The old saying goes.... You don't always remember what people do, but you always remember how they made you feel. Mark had a way of always making your day! Mark had his wife by his side this morning. She has been by his side for 30 years. One day when Mark was in River Mart I asked him how he met Joyce. He smiled real big and said the story goes like this.... “I was in middle school she was in high school and she was so pretty, she didn't know me but I knew her. I had a crush on her and I would always say I'm going to marry that girl one day. Life, girls, baseball etc happened and I didn't see Joyce much but, when I did my heart would skip a beat. My baseball career ended and I came back home and our paths crossed, and now she is my wife. My dream came true. I married that girl❤️ Don’t ever stop chasing your dreams because dreams do come true.”
Mark Baker was a true example of a person who chased his dreams and he helped teach young people to run after their dream not only in sports but in all aspects of life. Mark was blessed with a beautiful family and I truly believe he Lived His Dream Please keep Joyce, Rolin, and Luke in your prayers today and always❤️💙❤️💙

The Park Hills community lost a beautiful lady yesterday. Lorilee brought so much joy to so many people with her beautiful smile and kind words. She was a very positive person and had a way of seeing the good in everyone. I remember meeting her years ago at Ragsdale Furniture. She was a great businesswoman and had people from all around us coming to her store. She was a daily River Mart customer and we all looked forward to her stories about her grandchildren. She had so much excitement in her face and voice when talking about the game she had been too or the one she was going too. She was a true Central Rebel❤️💙 Lorilee never missed a Taco Tuesday at River Mart if she was going to be late she would call so we would save her one. She loved our Taco Salads. She was very special to all of us at River Mart. She left us with a legacy of wisdom, humor, and love of family. Continued prayers for Brad,Jenna,Stacey and Scott during this difficult time. Your momma was a true gem. She will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts forever❤️

RIP David House
A very special man to all of us at River Mart. This man spent countless hours at River Mart. He helped us watch what was going on in and out of the store. He helped clean messes up when we were busy. He stayed with night shift employees when they were alone and not feeling comfortable. Most people thought he just hung around the store but he became family to all of us. He would be with River Mart employees on Holidays too and last year we all celebrated Christmas with him at my house. Dave was a very unique person with a big heart. He has been suffering the last few months and we know now he can rest. Prayers for his brother and dear friend Lynne. We will all miss seeing him ride his Harley through Park Hills.

Park Hills lost a pillar of the Community today. We the team of Park Hills River Mart
feel fortunate to have known Joe Turner.
He was born and raised in Belgrade but started his business in Park Hills many many years ago. He helped and supported the people of his community. He was an honest hard working man. Joe created a legacy of wisdom and love for his family and friends. He visited River Mart daily and we all grew very attached to Joe. I would love his one liners. He could get his point across in one sentence, sometimes just one word. Myself and the River Mart team learned a lot from Joe. He was a man of few words but when he spoke we listened. We all knew when Joe said your doing a good job he meant it because he didn’t say what he didn’t mean. Joe fought a long hard battle but few ever heard him complain. Joe will long be remembered for his humbleness. He was kind and patient with everyone. He quietly made a difference in many lives. We send our condolences and deepest sympathy to Sue,Amy,Anna and those precious grandchildren that Joe loved to tell us stories about. We feel very fortunate to have known Joe Turner. RIP dear friend
Love and Prayers to The Turner Family
