Hello all, Jordan here. I have gotten word back from Miracle Strip and long story short is they dont want to have two clubs out there so we are still looking for a place to have a dirt track. I am sorry for the long time between updates but i promise we are still working on it and have feelers out and have some plans that i hope will come together. Tell next time.

Thank you and stay awesome!

Hello all, Jordan here. I just wanted to let everybody know that some things about the page and racing events will change but for the most part, will stay the same.

A couple updates.

1. Sadly the location where the new track was being made at is no longer available but fear not work is in progress for a new location.

2. Road races may start up in a month or so depending on weather and locations so keep your eye out for new posts and updates.

3. The page, race scheduling, and timing system will soon all be under new ownership so please be patient. We are going to try our best to keep most of it the same but some changes will be made.

4. Whenever the group starts to take off again and we start having more races we are planning on a couple different class groups with a points systems for a season and or set number of races but that is still in the works.

5. The biggest thing is i would like to thank everyone of you for staying with the group and your continued support while things go on in the background.

Until the next update, STAY AWESOME!!!

The new dirt RC track in Panama City is slowly coming together. It’s 80’ x 50’ with 8’ to 9’ lanes. We’re hoping to hold a race at this new track in July. Wish us luck.

Hey, Vipers! Today I went up to the track and ran on it completely dry on purpose.

After last weeks complete debacle at the race, I made some significant changes to the set up of my truck, and it’s basically glued to the track as long as I don’t pull the throttle all the way back too fast.

I increased the kick up angle of the front suspension.

I installed the laid-back transmission and moved my battery back a little bit toward the waterfall.

I’m running a 20 tooth pinion with the stock spur, which I think is 81 teeth. It still has a ton of speed but now they get-up-and-go is super peppy.

And lastly, I reduced the weight of the shock oil in the rear shocks from 30 to 27.5 and put on some green springs. The green springs, and the lighter shock oil was one of Lito Henry’s recommendations. Thanks, Lito Henry!

Noah Owens put together this rad recap of the second-ever Dirt Pile off-road race at Hometown Hobby Shop in Panama City. The most memorable moment of the day was Cruz Mond besting Jordan Williams on the field of battle. Watch till the end to witness the nail-biting, heart-pounding Short Course Truck A-Main.

Also, We want to mention that Jordan Williams supplied some of the clips for this video. There are so many talented folks here in Panama City and we are definitely proud of them all. GO, VIPERS!

Dirt Pile Race Recap:

The second-ever Dirtpile off-road race at Hometown Hobby Shop in Panama City was our best race yet thanks to the incredibly kind and competitive folks that made it special. When someone's vehicle broke everyone pitched in to get them fixed, when the track needed some maintenance everyone grabbed a shovel, and everyone corner-marshaled every race because that's what heroes do.

Noah Owens took the Savage Slim Jim in 2WD Short Course but our local child prodigy, Ryland was on his tale. Ryland started racing just two weeks ago at our first Dirt Pile race and is already laying down TQ-worthy lap times. All he needs is more consistency and he will be hard to beat.

Once again we were honored to have Don Asher from Fort Walton racing with us. He's easy on the eyes and has a positive attitude. Don took the Savage Slim Jim for traveling the farthest to race and putting on a great show with his 2WD Stadium truck.

Fresh off of his big win at the Battle of B&T in Crestview, Jake Machala rather aggressively took the Savage Slim Jim home. Lapping the competition with his 4WD Buggy.

And the 4WD Short Course Truck "Lame Event" pitted Jordan Williams against Cruz Mond. After a couple of laps, a technical glitch in the lap-counting system forced a restart of the race. No worries. We lined 'em back up and started again. We were not prepared for the heart-pounding finish. Cruz fought his way from second to first and both drivers passed the finish line just before time expired leaving just one more lap for all the marbles. Jordan made several attempts to reclaim the lead but Cruz was able to hold him off. Needless to say, we all lost our minds when Cruz narrowly claimed victory. Enjoy the Savage Slim Jim, Cruz!

Sydney Plumer took the Jolly Rancher award for being so darn happy, Sean Sylvester took the Sour Patch award for breaking a bunch, and Jake Machala took the Life Saver award for being a great corner marshall. He actually flipped over an opponent during his qualifier. What a great guy!

From all of us here at Electric Viper Racing and Hometown Hobby Shop in Panama City, FL, we want to say thanks to everyone who participated in this fun event.
