It’s been a long, hot day in the shop, but the Jeep is running again!

After replacing the engine, we got everything buttoned up, fired it up, bled the power steering system, monitored engine temperature, and made sure everything was operating the way it should. So far, it’s sounding good and running great.

This is why we do what we do—taking a vehicle that’s down and getting it back on the road where it belongs.

Whether you need routine maintenance, diagnostics, engine work, brakes, suspension repairs, or just want a professional opinion on a vehicle concern, give us a call and get on the schedule. We’d be happy to help.

Thanks for following along with this Jeep engine replacement project!

The Jeep project is moving right along!

In this video, you’ll see the process of getting the replacement engine back into the vehicle and bolted into place. At this point, the hard part is done—the engine is officially back where it belongs. From here, it’s mostly a matter of reinstalling all the accessories, wiring, hoses, and everything else that was removed during disassembly.

A lot of people don’t realize how much work goes into an engine replacement until they see it firsthand. If tackling a job like this feels a little overwhelming, that’s what we’re here for. Give us a call and let us take care of it for you.

This will likely be the last repair-process video on this Jeep. The next update should be the one everyone wants to see—getting it fired up and back on the road. Stay tuned!

Another productive day in the shop!

Today I got the Jeep engine separated from the transmission and started preparing everything for the next step—getting the replacement engine ready to go back in. I also knocked out a fuel filter service on a Ram diesel and spent some time talking with a customer who towed a camper several hours with a Volkswagen Atlas.

It’s a good reminder to always make sure your tow vehicle is properly matched to what you’re pulling. The right setup can make all the difference when it comes to reliability and safety on the road.

Stay tuned—I’ll be posting another video soon showing the Jeep engine installation process.

If your vehicle needs maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, or just a second opinion, give us a call and get on the schedule!

Good morning, everyone!

We’ve got one vehicle scheduled today, and if nothing else comes in, the goal is to keep making progress on this Jeep engine replacement.

Today’s job is separating the transmission from the old engine, transferring over the necessary components, and getting the new engine prepped and ready to go back in. There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a new engine ever finds its way back under the hood, so I’ll be showing some of that process along the way.

If your vehicle needs repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, suspension work, or an engine replacement, give us a call and get on the schedule. We’d be happy to help get you back on the road.

☎️ Call us today to schedule an appointment.

Hope everyone has a great day, and let’s see how much progress we can make on this Jeep!

Part 2 is here!

We wrapped up the Jeep engine removal today and finally got the engine out of the vehicle. If you watched Part 1, this is the continuation of that process and the payoff after all the wiring, hoses, and prep work were completed.

We also squeezed in a quick repair this afternoon for a customer whose rear outside door handle had jammed. After removing the door panel and diagnosing the issue, we were able to repair it without replacing any parts and get her back on the road the same day.

Every day is a little different around here. One minute we're pulling engines, the next we're fixing door handles and saving customers money.

If your vehicle needs repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, suspension work, or even a major engine replacement, give us a call and get on the schedule. Help keep my wife happy and keep me from spending all my time working on the '66 GMC project!

Thanks for following along and supporting our small business. Have a great evening, everyone!

Part 1 of our Jeep engine replacement series is up!

Today I'm showing the teardown process before the engine comes out. That means disconnecting wiring harnesses, hoses, accessories, and all the little details that can make or break an engine swap.

On this Jeep, I chose to remove the engine without dropping the subframe. It's a tight fit, but with the right approach and by removing a few key components, it can be done safely and efficiently. In this video, I walk through the process and explain some of the tricks that make the job go smoother.

Unfortunately, my phone battery had other plans, so this turned into a two-part video! Part 2 will show the engine coming the rest of the way out.

If your vehicle needs an engine replacement, major repair, diagnostics, brakes, suspension work, or general maintenance, give us a call and let's get you back on the road.

Replacing CV axles on the Jeep today while getting the new engine installed. In this video, I show a few tricks that can make CV axle removal easier, including how to safely gain clearance at the spindle and how to remove the axle from the transmission housing.

Every vehicle is a little different, but the basic principles are similar across many front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive platforms.

If your vehicle is clicking when turning, vibrating while driving, or has a torn CV boot, give us a call and let's get it checked out before it leaves you stranded.

We still have a few appointments available. Call or message us to get on the schedule!

Shop update!

The replacement engine for this Jeep showed up two days early, so today's game plan just changed. We'll be getting started on the engine installation and wrapping up a brake job on a Silverado as well.

I was hoping to spend some time working on the sheet metal repairs on the '66 GMC project truck, but customer vehicles come first, so the classic truck will have to wait another day.

If your vehicle needs repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, suspension work, engine replacement, or just a second opinion, I still have a few appointment spots available.

Give us a call and let's get you back on the road!

Progress on the ‘66 GMC today! Got the outer rocker panel removed and took a closer look at how the inner rocker and cab floor tie together. I’ll be showing that process in the next video as we continue working through the rust repair.

Also, Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

If you’re planning a road trip for the 4th of July, now is a great time to get your vehicle checked over before the holiday rush. Give us a call or send us a message to schedule an appointment and travel safely this summer.
