First fire-up on this one at DKPcycle! 🔧🔥

S&S cam chest kit with a Cycle-Rama 483 cam, S&S intake manifold replacing the factory plastic one, bigger injectors, heavier clutch springs, and a D&D Billet Cat exhaust.

It still had the early-style oil pump, so we upgraded that too for improved oil flow and scavenging.

This video is the FIRST START—not the finished job. Exhaust caps haven’t been installed yet, so before anybody jumps in the comments, yes, I know. 😂

Performance work is what I love doing, and the details matter. 🤘

Cam job in the shop — and this one's the full package. This Milwaukee-Eight is getting:

• Full S&S cam chest — cam plate, high-flow oil pump, lifters, adjustable pushrods
• Plastic intake manifold replaced
• Bigger injectors
• ThunderMax tuner
• D&D billet cat exhaust

This is how you do it right: open up the breathing on both ends, give it the fuel it needs, and tune it properly. A cam by itself is only half the job.

Before the new cam went in, we measured everything in that cam chest — crankshaft runout, cam bearing fit, the works. This one measured .003" on the crank. Within spec, so the cam went in.

No assumptions. Measure everything.
