We always replace the side moldings (a pillar trim) on this vehicle, but now the manufacturer is putting out a recall. If you have a 2011-2019 Ford Explorer, you should see if your vehicle is part of the recall. If you have already replaced these trim pieces, you may be able to get reimbursed for the cost.

Last week, we helped a client whose back glass exploded. While he could not wait for Honda, we had him show the Honda service department so they have a record of the incident. After consulting with other shops, we found that this is an issue HR-V owners are experiencing. This is definitely a safety issue to drive without a back glass. It is probably alarming to hear a loud bang and having your rear glass explode while driving. We will continue to update you if we hear more! Be safe!

If you or anyone you know has a 2014-2016 Kia Cadenza, they might want to look into a potential safety recall for inadequate bonding of the windshield. This is a recall you do not want to ignore.

Kia Motors America has notified NHTSA that it is recalling 30,362 vehicles for inadequate bonding of windshields.
