Throwing a rebuild kit into your Tremec transmission won’t always fix your problem. It depends on what the specific issue is. In this scenario, the best carbon synchro on the market or the toughest gear set available would not repair this transmission.

Setting up your bearings is something that is never talked about and it’s critical in order to have a functioning transmission. Skipping this step or assuming they’re good will make or break your rebuild. Be sure to check them if you are tearing down your tremec/borg warner 5/6 speed.
