Meet Eric Alford — Light Duty Supervisor

Eric provides leadership and oversight within the Light Duty Division, helping ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Overseeing the rollback operators and coordinating their day-to-day responsibilities is just one of the many important roles Eric takes on at Johnson’s Towing & Recovery.

Eric also assists with managing the impound lot, including handling abandoned vehicles and the sale or salvage of them. He remains hands-on in the field, responding to roadside calls in the light-duty wrecker and assisting customers when they need help. Eric has nearly ten years experience in the towing industy. He frequently operates our off-road recovery unit, putting his skills and experience to work in challenging recovery situations.

Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending his weekends outdoors, especially boating at the springs and riding his side-by-side. When he gets the opportunity to travel far, one of Eric’s dreams is to visit Bora Bora, where he can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Eric’s combination of leadership, hands-on experience, dedication, and adventurous spirit makes him a valued member of the team both on and off the job.

Robert Johnson is a dedicated Rollback Operator known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing his best every day. Meet Chad Baughman - Lead Heavy Driver.

Chad is a professional Wrecker Operator capable of operating every truck in the fleet, from the rollbacks and the offroad recovery wrecker to the heavy-duty wreckers. Chad ensures every truck is kept clean, polished, and ready to represent the company. His versatility, technical skill, and commitment to safety make him an invaluable member of our team.

Originally from Cape Coral, Florida, Chad moved to Putnam County and earned his CDL in the early 2000s. Chad worked as an over-the-road truck driver, hauling as many as ten vehicles at a time. His years on the road allowed him to see much of the United States while developing the driving skills that continue to serve him today.

He is passionate about serving the community and takes pride in helping customers through difficult situations. Throughout his career, Chad has participated in numerous challenging recoveries that he is especially proud of, including airplane recoveries and overturned tractor-trailers. Of all the places his career with Johnson's Towing has led him, the Miami Hurricanes football stadium stands out as one of his favorite experiences.

Outside of work, Chad enjoys riding his motorcycle, gunsmithing, going to the gun range, and helping his kids with their projects.

Chad credits his biggest professional inspiration to his boss, Dean Johnson, whose leadership has had a lasting impact on his career. With his dedication, experience, and commitment to excellence, he is proud to represent Johnson's Towing & Recovery and the values the company stands for every day.

Meet Dean Johnson - Operations Manager.

Dean has spent more than four decades building a career in the towing industry. His journey began in the early 1980s when he started working for his father, Ronnie Johnson, at Johnson's Wrecker Service in San Mateo, FL. Growing up in the family business gave Dean firsthand experience in every aspect of the towing and recovery industry.

During that time, Dean also served in the U.S. Army Reserve. In 1994, he entered active-duty military service and was stationed near Fort Meade, Maryland. While serving, he also worked for Rennie & Clark Towing, where he further expanded his expertise in the towing industry. Dean completed his military service in 1999, bringing with him valuable leadership.

After returning home to San Mateo, Dean joined his brother, Donald Johnson, in starting Johnson's Towing & Recovery on January 1, 2000. As the company grew, Donald relied heavily on Dean's dedication and industry knowledge. Dean played an instrumental role in building the company's operations and helping lay the foundation for its long-term success.

Today, Dean serves as the Operations Manager and is widely recognized as the backbone of Johnson's Towing & Recovery. Recently, Dean transitioned to a part-time role, giving him more opportunities to enjoy life outside of work. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys traveling for turkey hunting adventures and spending time saltwater fishing. Dean proudly embraces his role as "Papa," and enjoys keeping his lawn in immaculate condition.

Whether at work or at home, Dean approaches everything he does with the same dedication, pride, and attention to detail that have defined his career.
