The Fifth Generation Freightliner Cascadia is built with fuel efficiency in mind, and two key aero features helping make that happen are the wheel covers and chassis fairings. The aero wheel covers help smooth airflow around the drive tires, reducing turbulence where drag is typically highest. The chassis fairings (side skirts) guide air along the frame and prevent it from getting trapped underneath the truck. Together, these components work as part of the Cascadia’s overall aerodynamic package, helping reduce drag, improve stability, and maximize fuel efficiency on every mile.
