Beacon Dragway provides racing for the following classes: Super Pro, No Box, Sportsman and Junior Dragster, and features a 36 foot wide and 170 foot long concrete burnout and launch pad. Other Park features include extensive parking with pit spot rentals, restaurant, and nearby campgrounds. Originally started as McCracken County Dragstrip in the 1960's and then transformed into a private airport, Beacon Dragway has finally emerged by area developer Keith Murt.

What started out as a REALLY rough idea on how to get involved in the racing world & help create something worthwhile for our community,

Calling all door cars! Coming up on June 4-7, 2026 is the 2nd Annual Beacon Doorcar Battle at Beacon Dragway. No pre-entry required! Pay at the gate.

Racing kicks off Thursday with Test n’ Tune and a $5,000 warm-up race, followed by triple $10,000-to-win races—all featuring Bottom Bulb bonuses. Friday night will host a Pit Vehicle Race, and Saturday will close out with a $5,000-to-win 64-car shootout. Junior Dragsters are also invited to join the fun and will compete for $500-to-win each day.
