More pics and video to come, but I wanted to post an update on my 1996 GMC. I’ve been impatiently waiting for the new Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels 17” x 14” Forged Classic wheels since they debuted at SEMA. I just switched from 40” Baja Boss XS’s to 43”. To make room for the bigger tires, I swapped in taller springs from Skyjacker Suspensions and I love the stance and height! It makes me feel like a kid again driving around in something that would have been my dream truck the year I graduated high school. ☺️

Bender and Kurt are proof that you can build serious rock buggies without being serious all the time.

There’s a lot of work going into these two builds, but having fun with the crew is a big part of what makes days in the Motodome what they are.

A few years ago, we discontinued our fabricated inner C’s. The forged C’s are way stronger, more accurate, and easier to produce. We quickly ran out of the old inventory, BUT we recently looked through the pieces we had left. We were able to build 7 more C’s. So if you’re looking for a replacement or a spare for your axles, we have these in stock! This will definitely be the last time we ever sell this version. Sold individually with no kingpin bolts or bushings. $425 shipped each.

Just added to the website, HMMWV Portal Sets for $9350 shipped! We currently have two sets ready to ship, and two more that will be available soon. Once they’re gone… I can’t say for sure when we’ll have more. If you don’t want rear steer, we can do that as well.

After 8 months of owning a JL, I’m not having any regrets about keeping the coils with a separate shock. With an 11” front and 13” rear travel shock, it seems to have pretty significant articulation and vertical travel. Considering the shocks can be easily upgraded to a true external bypass, you’re definitely not limiting your ride quality by going this route. So why does a coilover upgrade seem to be the holy grail of aftermarket suspension kits? I’m curious to hear opinion on this. Also, portals or G**O 🤘🏼
