Summary of the Position To provide timely and error-free inspections, diagnoses, and automotive repairs to customer vehicles by following established company policy and procedures. Key Essential Responsibilities o Completes service inspections supporting customers requested service while documenting clearly the manufacturer specifications/ tolerances which will support the salesperson in communicating conditions to the customer. o Communicate technical aspects of repair job to customer when asked to by salesperson or manager. o Perform approved vehicle repairs using established company and industry guidelines. o Maintain service department, per housekeeping and safety standards, providing a safe and clean working environment. o Encourage teamwork by helping out with tire installation when asked by management. o Support all brake, alignment, suspension and tire service teams to ensure improved productivity. o Keep abreast of the latest technological advances in the automotive repair industry and progresses towards ASE certification or equivalency of, in area of expertise. o All other duties as assigned by Store Management. Experience/Education Requirements o High school diploma or equivalent o 6 months experience required; 2 years preferred o ASE & MACS certifications preferred Other Requirements o Have a valid drivers’ license and access to reliable transportation o Have valid PA inspection and emissions licenses o Have your own tools o Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift passenger and light truck tires, wheels and shop equipment up to approximately 50 lbs. (on occasion weight may exceed 50lbs.) o Be able to adapt to severe climate variances o Be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.18 days ago - original job
