I thought I would put this out here, we are looking for a mechanic.
Job description
East Coast Car Care, 52A Donovan Rd, Oxford, CT 06478.
We are a busy, well-established, family-owned and operated car repair shop. We have been proudly providing quality automotive repairs for our customers since 2001.
We are seeking an experienced technician with a solid background in diagnostics, troubleshooting problems and skills to perform a variety of mechanical repairs. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, perform needed repairs in a timely manner, report findings and recommendations to shop management. We are also a CT state emissions test center and testing vehicles will part of your duties when required. Inspector training will be provided, if needed. The ideal person should be hard-working, self-motivated, detail oriented, have a professional image and a good attitude.
Responsibilities include:
*Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, tires etc.
*Effectively communicate with Service Writer and customers
*Road-test vehicle to ensure quality repair work was completed.
*Perform CT state Emissions inspections
*Assist other technicians
*Motivation to stay current with evolving automotive trends
*Maintain an organized and safe work place
Job requirements
Requirements:
*3+ Years shop experience as an automotive technician
*Ability to complete quality repairs on a wide variety of vehicles
*Experience driving standard shift vehicles
*Have effective communication skills
*Appropriate tools necessary for services performed
*Hold a valid driver's license with an insurance acceptable driving history
*Excellent work ethics
*ASE certifications and CT state emissions inspector are a plus
