Last night was a prime example of a hunter doing the RIGHT THING! 🦌

As bow hunters, we all know things don’t always go as planned. I got a call from a hunter who wasn’t 100% sure about his hit. After checking his arrow and finding very little blood, he decided to back outand boy, are we glad he did!

This buck went less than 50 yards and bedded down. Had the hunter pushed in looking for blood, he could’ve jumped that deer and made locating him a whole lot harder.

I found this buck in just 45 SECONDS! After getting a closer look, the shot appeared high and looked like it missed the vitals. Hopefully, this stud lives to see another day and the hunter gets another opportunity! 🙌

I know backing out is the last thing you WANT to do. But when you’re unsure of the hit and don’t have much sign to follow, giving that deer space can make all the difference. This hunter gave us the opportunity to locate his buck and get a better understanding of the situation.

These drones are incredible tools, and I have confidence in my equipment and myself. If your deer is in the area, I’ll do everything in my power to locate it!

Y’all remember that buck I located? Well… HOW ABOUT SOME SWEET REDEMPTION!!

Because of the drone, we were able to locate the deer and assess the situation. The shot appeared to be low, down by his elbow, and with that information, the hunter’s best chance was to head back the next day and hunt him again. And sure enough… HERE HE CAME!! Mr. Chris let that arrow fly and hit the mark perfectly this time! 🙌

I LOVE when this happens! I know firsthand how gut wrenching it is knowing you’ve wounded a stud and you’re left with nothing but hope that you’ll get another chance. This time, THE STARS ALIGNED, and he got it done!! 💪

Last night, I got a call from the guys at Wings in Flight Outdoors. One of their clients had shot a deer, and they thought it might’ve been a shoulder hit. They did the right thing backed out and gave me a call.

I made the drive over and located this Oklahoma stud pretty quickly! Unfortunately, the shot was a little lower than everyone thought. From what we could see, he looks like he’s going to live to see another day. While it wasn’t the ending everyone hoped for, there’s peace of mind knowing he’s still alive instead of lying out there going to waste.

As bow hunters, we all know how fast that moment happens. Your heart’s racing, the adrenaline kicks in, and sometimes things just don’t go as planned. Hopefully this hunter gets another opportunity at him! 🦌🏹

Deer season brings excitement, early mornings, and lessons along the way! 🦌🏹 As bow hunters, we all know things don’t always go as planned even when we do our best.

We located this stud, and if you look closely, you’ll notice he was hit low. Thankfully, it looks like he’ll live to see another day, and hopefully this hunter gets another opportunity!

One tough hunt doesn’t define your season. Keep your head up, learn from the experience, and keep chasing those moments that make it all worth it. 🤝

Quick little rant for Sunday evening! 🦌

I want to help every hunter who calls me, but I’m also going to be 100% honest about what to expect. Right now, all that leaf cover makes drone recovery tough, and conditions matter. I go through every call with a fine tooth comb before heading out. I don’t show up, take your money, and leave knowing we barely had a chance. That’s not who I am or who I ever will be.

In the first FOUR DAYS of season, I’ve gotten over 20 calls. I’ve gone out on 8 of them and located 6 deer. One of the deer we didn’t locate is already back on camera!

If someone promises they can find your deer in the middle of the day under a clear bluebird sky with heavy tree cover, ask questions. That’s a tough situation, and an unsuccessful search after a big promise can leave a sour taste in your mouth about drone recovery. I’d rather be upfront about the conditions on your property than show up knowing the odds are stacked against us. Your money matters, your time matters, and earning your trust matters to me.

It just sucks knowing not everyone approaches it that way.
