Becoming a classic car owner can be daunting! Here’s what you should know before you buy:
🏁 Decide what interests you! There are many niches when it comes to classic cars: American muscle cars, European classics, vintage trucks, luxury classics, etc. and each comes with a very different set of challenges. Spend time at local car shows, chat with car owners, and figure out what excites you!
🏁 Research parts availability. One particularly frustrating challenge with classic car ownership is parts availability. Chances are, the more rare your classic car is, the less options you’ll have when searching for replacement parts.
🏁 Decide what issues you’re willing to deal with! No vehicle is perfect. Some will have rust issues, others will have electrical problems, and others will have suffered from bad restorations. Decide what problems you’re willing to tackle!
