A free kart racing club located behind Galletta's Greenhouse in Oswego, New York. Established and running weekly points races since the 1990s, we race a unique brand of 1-wheel-drive gas Flathead karts (some rebuilt from old yard karts, some from old racing karts, and some ho
memade from scratch). Our karts are 1/10th the cost of the average racing kart, and we have free admission for both spectators and racers alike. We get 55-60 laps of green flag racing with anywhere between 8-16 karts per field weekly, and have a 200-Lap "Klassic Championship" to end our points season. We have a video record of every "Klassic" race since the late-1990s and every regular race since 2005. We produce weekly race DVDs for $5 each. From these DVDs, we also produce weekly YouTube highlight reels ( www.youtube.com/chrushercomix ). We have several arrive-and-drive karts, called "Team Galletta's Greenhouse" karts available for a small 'gas-and-parts' donation, and you can also enter your own (provided it meets our specs) for no cost. Ages range between 16-56, weights between 120-250 lbs., and both male and female competitors. Throw out your expensive WKA-type rules and karts, we do it cheap and competitively. We run one class via weighing down the lightest drivers and allowing heavier drivers stronger cams and gearing. Our karts can run on backyard tracks and pay tracks alike, our best drivers have run and won in more expensive and conventional racing karts and race cars, but in this economy, we usually stick to our own backyard speedway behind Galletta's Greenhouse. We do it for fun with friends and family, we make no money, we run entirely off donations, and are not using our racing as a stepping stone to bigger racing classes on big tracks, although some of our guys can run with anybody anywhere.
