Dear Lake Effect Members & Customers,

We want to clear up some confusion about our Self-Serve Bays to ensure you always get the best experience and value.

Our system is designed to give you uninterrupted wash time. To avoid extra charges, please remember this critical step:

🟢 Start: $4 minimum up front.
🌊 Wash: Keep going without interruption.
🔴Stop: You must press the button when finished. Billed up to $20 per session for max charge if button is not pressed to stop per instructions. Need to add more time. Restart process.

If you ever need a hand, we are here to help. You can text or call us at 1 (315) 532-8048. You can also speak to a friendly attendant in person at our East Side Tunnel during business hours (Mon–Fri 8–7, Sat 8–6, Sun 9–5). Our automated washes remain open 24/7.

Thank you for being part of our family!

🚙 Exactly what is a tunnel car wash like? Our tunnel car wash starts of with one of our amazing employees carefully scrubbing down your vehicle 🧽 and then moves into the automated soft cloth tunnel that sprays and washes your vehicle from all angles including your car’s rust-prone undercarriage 💦 Then various treatments will be applied depending on the type of wash you choose.

Our tunnel wash can be found at our East Side Car Wash and comes with the option of purchasing a monthly membership that allows you to wash your car up to once daily. Fun fact: the tunnel car wash uses less water than the touchless car wash!
