Greetings: This is a reminder to review our website front page (hickoryoakscampground.com) for news and info. This is where we will get word out to customers on a regular basis. There are updates there now for everyone to review.

We are grateful for all the patience you have given our family as we try to keep Bob’s dream going. It means the world to us. This year will be a challenge for us, but please know we will be doing our best in Bob’s memory.

Update 03/01/26: Below are the rates for 2026. Pricing for camping in 2024 and 2025 had remained the same. While we would have preferred to keep rates the same again for 2026, we found we couldn’t manage it, due to costs going up in the current economy.

Important notice for those camping at Hickory Oaks July 1-7 this year:

Because we still do not have back-up support for our campground staff this season, we will be operating with minimal staffing due to vacations scheduled that week.

Staff physically occupying the office will be limited to 12:00-3:00pm each day, only. Wood, ice, etc., can also be purchased at nearby gas stations and stores when our office is not open. Restrooms will be monitored 2-3 times daily. Emergency numbers will be placed on the office door in the event there is an immediate need.

Thank you for understanding and respecting these limitations during the Fourth of July week.

IMPORTANT REQUEST FOR 2025 - This would be a great opportunity for a monthly tenant of Hickory Oaks! We are looking for part-time support for Cindy, the Office Manager, for next season. Duties include managing the office and computer system, and cleaning of the cabins and facility restrooms. We are willing to break down the responsibilities to cleaning as one option, and office support as another option. Please contact the office beginning January 2025, if interested in any or all of these responsibilities. Thanks!

Greetings! Fall is almost here and we cannot believe that summer is winding down already!

This is a note to share that our last open day of regular camping for this 2024 season will be Sunday, October 20th. The exception are those few paid monthly tenants who are staying through the end of October.

Please note that the office will be COMPLETELY closed from October 21, 2024 through December 31st. There will be very limited, remote services from January 2nd through April 2025.

No reservations will be recognized for the 2025 season until AFTER January 1, 2025. That means no email reservations or phone calls will be answered unless they are dated after January 1st, in order to give staff rest and time off during the off-season.

Additionally, the upcoming 2025 season for Hickory Oaks begins May 1, 2025, and will run through October 19, 2025.

Stay healthy, and we hope to see you for the 2025 season!

March 1st is tomorrow! We’ve had a fairly decent winter in Wisconsin, so the spring months have sort of blended into the passing of winter making it feel like a “blink of an eye!”

Hickory Oaks will be open as of May 1st. There has been “very limited” reservation service provided until that time, so we ask your patience until opening day.

WE NEED YOU! We are looking for a willing couple to provide back-up for our Groundskeeper and Office Manager, John and Cindy. They need to have time off each week and there is always extra help needed during the area’s special events. Please contact [email protected] if you’re interested, and with any questions.

Please review our latest news, which will always be provided on the front page of our website, and as always, if there are any questions, please send them via email at [email protected]. Emails will be responded to in the order they came - again, be aware there is limited office staff time to respond until May 1st opening day.
