🎃👮♀️👻 It's Halloween! 🎃👮♂️👻
Hey there, Orrville residents! It's that spooky time of year again, and we want to make sure everyone has a safe and fun Halloween! 🕸️🍬
🕰️ **Don't Forget: Trick or Treat is TONIGHT from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.** 🌙
To ensure a ghoulishly good time, here are some Halloween safety tips, including bicycle safety:
1. 🚶♀️🚶♂️ **Walk Safely**: Always use the sidewalk and crosswalks. Look both ways before crossing the street, and be extra cautious of traffic.
2. 🚴♀️ **Bicycle Riders**: If you're riding your bike, make sure you're well-lit. Equip your bike with reflectors and lights, and wear a helmet for added safety. Always obey traffic rules, and use hand signals to indicate turns.
3. 🚗 **Drive Carefully**: If you're driving during trick-or-treat hours, be on the lookout for little witches and superheroes. Drive slowly and avoid distractions.
4. 🎃 **Costume Safety**: Make sure costumes fit well and are easy to move in. Bright or reflective costumes help increase visibility. If using face paint, do a patch test first to ensure no allergies.
5. 🤳 **Stay Connected**: Kids should have a cellphone or a way to contact you in case they get separated. Ensure they have your number memorized. Parents please take pictures of your child in their costume. If they are wearing a mask, take pictures with and without the mask. This will help us if we need to locate them.
6. 🎒 **Carry a Light**: Bring flashlights or glow sticks to help you see and be seen in the dark.
7. 🍬 **Inspect Treats**: Parents, remember to check your children's treats. Discard any unwrapped or suspicious items.
8. 🏡 **Visit Trusted Houses**: Only visit houses with porch lights on, and avoid going inside any stranger's home.
9. 👥 **Stay in Groups**: Trick or treating is more fun with friends and family. Stick together and look out for each other.
10. 🐶 **Watch Out for Pets**: Keep your furry friends indoors to prevent them from getting scared or agitated.
11. 🚫 **No Trespassing**: Be respectful and stay off private property. Always use designated paths and walkways.
Let's make this Halloween a safe and enjoyable experience for all Orrville residents. Remember to respect others and have a spooktacular time! 🎉👻
Have a hauntingly good Halloween! 🎃🍭
