For quite some time, I’ve wanted to add ceramic coatings to the services we offer at Detail 207.
With more than 20 years of detailing experience and thousands of paint corrections behind me, I’ve always been confident in my ability to properly prepare and correct paint. The challenge was finding a professional coating that worked with the environment I have. Because much of our work is performed outside, I wasn’t willing to offer this service until I found a product and process I genuinely trusted.
This week, I finally took that step.
This beautiful 2026 Lexus IS 350 F Sport, owned by my friend Natalie, received a complete detail, paint preparation and ceramic coating—and I couldn’t be happier with the finished result. The depth, gloss and richness it brought out in this Infrared paint are absolutely incredible.
I’ll be honest: even with all my years of experience, I was nervous. Not because I didn’t trust my abilities, but because I care deeply about doing things correctly. When someone trusts me with a vehicle like this, “good enough” simply isn’t good enough.
This job gave me the confidence and experience I needed, outside of doing my own vehicle, to officially add another service to what we can offer our customers. Ceramic coating isn’t just about making a vehicle shine—it creates a durable layer of protection that makes the paint easier to maintain and helps preserve that finish for years to come.
