Our family has thrilled crowds for 50 years! 2026 kicks off our 41st year in jet car racing! See our schedule:JetCarsRock.com JetCarsRock is a family-owned professional jet car exhibition team bringing fire, smoke, speed, and unforgettable motorsports entertainment to drag strips and events across the United States and Canada. For more than four decades, our family has been involved in jet car rac

ing and exhibition entertainment. Today, we continue that tradition with our fleet of jet-powered race cars, traveling the country and performing in front of thousands of race fans. These aren’t traditional race cars — they’re powered by jet engines, capable of speeds exceeding 200 MPH, and built to put on a SHOW. But what happens on the track is only part of our story. We’re also a full-time RV family. We travel from event to event with our race cars, equipment, trailers, family, and everything it takes to operate a professional touring motorsports team. During racing season, the road is our home and racetracks across the country become our backyard. Through social media, we take our followers behind the scenes of a lifestyle most people never get to experience. We share race-day action, jet car maintenance and repairs, loading and traveling, life in the RV, unexpected breakdowns, beautiful destinations, funny moments, and the everyday reality of running a family motorsports business on the road. Some days we’re firing a jet engine in front of thousands of spectators. Other days we’re fixing something in a parking lot, driving 1,000 miles to the next track, or opening the RV door to see our newest “front yard.” We also partner with brands, businesses, manufacturers, racetracks, and sponsors through social media content, UGC, product features, sponsorships, promotions, and event appearances. JetCarsRock is where full-time RV living meets jet-powered motorsports — and we’re taking our followers along for the ride.

Today’s front yard is Byron Dragaway in Byron Illinois! It’s a great track, beautiful grounds and fantastic owners and employees. This view is phenomenal and we are truly enjoying the time we are spending here!

This is soooo intriguing to me!

We travel sooooo much. Back and forth all summer. We sometimes forget where we are until we hear someone in public. The accent gives it away. So cool. What a great and I think accurate map! I think about this and where it comes from. When we go to Louisiana, we feel like we are in an overseas foreign country. It’s wonderful! 🤩

We are from (ahem) California, but specifically a smaller town in East County San Diego. Aka, the beginning of farmland… we don’t have accents, and what’s even crazier is that many people don’t hear our accents. We tease first, always! Most people love it! ~Robyn

Let me see your trees!

This is the Christmas Tree at Byron Dragway, in Byron Illinois. This drag-strip is west of Chicago and has been open for over 60 years. 62 I think! The previous owner didn’t hire jet cars. We were one of the firsts to be back after quite some time! It’s a cool track! More to come! 🤩

It’s good for the soul! Just that pause to admire a place that is rad and beautiful!

What do you do when you need THAT pause?

We drove more than 2,000 miles in less than a week. This weekend was supposed to be “quasi off,” which meant maintenance on the generator, house batteries, race cars and truck.

Last night we stopped at a Walmart south of Chicago to make dinner, get groceries, sleep and drive the last couple hours to Byron in the morning. Then the generator quit.

We change the oil and filters every 600 hours, about once a month during racing season, and carry spare parts because things wear out. We thought we fixed it. We did not.

We already knew one house battery was weak, so that project moved up the list. Without the generator, the batteries had to keep the refrigerator running. Losing all our food was not an option.

Here’s the funny part: we have a trailer full of race cars, but no daily driver. Even if we did, we’d have to unload it. So when we saw O’Reilly across the highway, walking seemed easier.

It wasn’t.

We grabbed an abandoned Walmart cart, loaded the batteries and headed toward what we thought was a light and crosswalk. Nope. No light, no crosswalk, just a giant ditch we couldn’t get the cart through.

So we backtracked through the parking lot, around construction and down another road to an intersection… where we jaywalked with a Walmart cart full of batteries.

Thankfully, the O’Reilly manager was incredibly kind and gave us a ride back. Batteries fixed. Refrigerator saved.

By then it was 8 p.m., so we fired up the truck and drove two hours through Chicago to Byron, avoiding rush-hour traffic!

Now our “weekend off” means fixing the generator, batteries, race cars, truck and whatever else needs attention before we hit the road again.

People see the 2½-minute jet car show. They don’t see the 2,000-mile weeks, parking-lot repairs, midnight drives or two grown adults jaywalking a Walmart cart full of batteries through Chicagoland.

I’ve worked three jobs while raising a kid and taking care of a house, and somehow I think I’m working harder now!

But this crazy life is ours. We’re parked, plugged in, the food survived and we’re safe.

Six years into building her legacy. It has been an amazing journey for our family and this car so far!

Look who we ran into at New England Dragway & Motorsports Park! When we first got to the track, we were getting parked and we heard him! We got to be entertained by Alan Reinhart allllllll weekend. (Don’t be jealous) It was a pleasant surprise. What an extraordinary talented announcer!

We also got to be entertained by the young Seth Noble. This 19 year old is goooood! The sky is the limit kid! Good stuff! 🤩

Next up! Can you believe it’s almost Labor Day? We can’t wait to see our Wisconsin family! 🤩

Happy National Dog Day to our angel on Earth: Duke Scoobford Archibald Douthit III. Aka Scooby, Scoob, Scoob the Dude, a-hole, Mr. Spicy-Nice, the Dog. He had even gotten ahold of David’s grinchy heart. 🥰🤩🥰

Dogs are amazing creatures. I personally think their next level is Nirvana. ♥️
