We regret to inform you that our family has made the difficult decision to close our business. Our last day of business will be Friday, September 10th. This decision was not taken lightly. We have enjoyed the relationships with our customers over the many years.

We would like to thank all of our customers that have done business with us, especially these last couple trying years. Your patience and understanding in all circumstances made serving you such a joy. D&G could not have been successful without your loyalty.

We ask that all of our customers would either pay their bills in full, or make arrangements to settle your accounts as soon as possible. You can stop in or call the office during our normal business hours. After September 10th you can leave your payment in our drop box, outside the office.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. We will do our best to keep our page current with any updates we have during this process.

D&G Automotive is seeking a full time general repair mechanic. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30 pm. Starting wage is negotiable upon experience with an opportunity for increase after 3 months, as well as added accident, dental and vision benefits. It’s been a little while again since I’ve posted updates. By the end of the day I’m just so exhausted. Darcy doesn’t sleep the best at night. They are still trying to figure out a good mix of medication to help him relax but not make him too loopy. He has a little problem with his right shoulder that makes it difficult to sleep as well. Not sure what they are gonna do with it. They took an X-ray today so I should find out more information tomorrow hopefully. The days are long with his therapy 3 to 4 times a day and then trying to rest in between or trying to keep him awake. They have been working on his walking which has improved a lot. He walks with very little assistance. When I help I just hold his hand like we’re walking down the street. He has to wear a helmet when he’s not in bed. He doesn’t like it. He always tries to take it off. He will have to wear it until they put his skull flap back in. He still likes to talk a lot at times. He has many stories only he can understand. He puts a lot of facial expression to his stories. It really makes me and the nurses laugh. He is getting better at answering simple questions. He’s getting better at understanding his needs. He has expressed being really thirsty. Also expresses being tired and wanting to lay down. He’s very good about going to the bathroom. He has very good manners. Always says thank you or I’m sorry. His therapy sessions are working on his balance and recognizing objects and colors. Sorting colors or numbers. They had him put plumbing fittings together. That was something right up his alley. He did great...! So many little things that you wouldn’t think of a challenge but it really is. I’m very impressed with what he is doing and I see him doing more and more everyday. I’m home tonight and will be until this weekend. It’s hard walking away especially when he ask me if I’m gonna come back and get him. But when I return he’ll amaze me with something he wasn’t doing before. Gonna enjoy some time with the my kids and grandkids. Plus go watch Miss Kloe Severance run at State Cross Country Friday. So proud of my Kloe she’s one strong young lady !

Most people know but if you don’t I’ll fill you in. Darcy was in a serious accident September 21st. He fell off a ladders down hit his head on concrete . He was life flighted to Lincoln where he is being treated. He is out of ICU and off the ventilator. Improving everyday but his recovery will be slow. I want everyone to know that our shop is fully functional without him there. We have technicians that have been with us forever. They know how Darcy conducts business. Please be patient with us as we continue to move forward and please Pray for him.
