Good Morning from North Loup Popcorn Days!
It is Race Day! The track area is good to go. The weather forecast says clearing sky’s and 80’s today. If it is raining in your area, it is clearing sky’s in North Loup. Looks like a great day for racing! Bring plenty of karts and drivers!

UPDATED INFORMATION:

The Popcorn Days Go-Kart Races are STILL ON for Sunday, August 16, 2026 at North Loup, Nebraska. Some rain and a storm has passed through, but nothing to stop the races. We are looking forward to seeing you all there to celebrate our 10th Anniversary of promoting and conducting go-kart races in North Loup.
I will post another update in the morning just clarify having the races! Bring your lawn chairs, canopies, coolers, and your smiles. Grandpa’s BBQ will be there as well cooking up his fabulous food as always!
Start time is at 3:00pm following the parade!

10 years of promoting and conducting Go-Kart Races. Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Our last scheduled race of the summer is on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Popcorn Days in North Loup, Nebraska. This track is always fast, competitive, and always enjoyable to race on.
It has a relaxed family feeling atmosphere and a good time is had by all. Drivers and Spectators, Please come and make this final race of the summer a fun and enjoyable day! It’s hard to believe that our racing season will come to an end after this finaly. It has been an unbelievable season for Midwest Motorsports LLC.
Come and join us in our 10th Anniversary.

11:00am: Driver Registration Begins
1:00pm: Hot Laps
2:00pm: Drivers Meeting
2:30pm: Parade of Colors/Star Spangled Banner
3:00pm: Races Begin
* Reminder: To coincide with the Race Series this year, there is a $20 Driver/Kart and a $10 per person Pit fee. Spectators are free. Donations are appreciated. Thank You!

Good Sunday Morning from York Fairgrounds,
There was rain here Saturday, but there tough truck event still took place. This morning we will have the driver registration for the Go-Karts by the crows nest instead of out by the road. They have decided not to charge Pit Fees, only drivers fee will be charged! Bring the family, friends, and race enthusiasts today. It is going to be a good day! See you at the races!

7:30am- Driver Registration Begins
8:30am- Staff Meeting including:
EMT’s, Ambulance Personnel,
Firemen, Announcer, Track
Maintenance Personnel
9:00am- Hot Laps
10:30am- Drivers Meeting
11:00am- Star Spangled Banner
11:30am- Races Start

The original post stated race start was to be at 1:00pm. Due to changes in scheduling, 11:30am is the new start time.
Also, by starting earlier, we will be mostly finished if not completely finished by the time the heat of the day arrives. Thank You for your attention to this issue.
