Good morning, last week we had a surprise visit from a wonderful group of young poets. Oologah Upper Elementary Poetry winners of 25-26 presented our office with a book of the winning poems.
They are a very talented group of kids. We appreciate them thinking of us and just want them to know how proud we are of them all.

Learners permit with your children ages 15 to 151/2.

1. They must be enrolled in Drivers Education or parent taught.
2. If in Drivers Ed, they will need an enrollment form and a payment receipt.
3. If doing parent taught you will need the email affidavit from SOK that shows acceptance.
4. You will need the know to drive test score sheet or if enrolled in drivers ed and have a driver completion certificate we can accept that.
5. A birth certificate or a valid passport. The birth certificate must be certified or original cannot be a photocopy.
6. You will either need to know the SS # or have the card available.
7. Proof of residency. If doing a basic license, we will need one piece of first-class mail, a bank statement, homeowners' insurance or automobile policy, car registration are examples. If you are wanting Real ID then we will need two pieces. These can be in the parents name.

*All of your information needs to be printed out. We cannot scan your phone or print for you.

The cost is $42.50 you can use cash, check or card.

It should read social security card needs to change to reflect the new name. Not the social security number needs to be changed. My apologies *****EDIT*****

We try and keep you up to date with things that are happening in the Tag offices and here is a new thing that has popped up.

If you decide to change your name either by marriage or court order you will need to have your social security card changed to reflect the new name change before we can do anything for you. It takes approximately 24 to 72 hours for it to be in the system for us to retrieve.
If you already have your license but have a name different than your social security, you will not be allowed to renew the license until the social security card matches the name on your license. We have been able to override it in the past, but we can no longer do so. We are running into cases that folks have been married for over a decade, but the social security name has never been changed to reflect the current name they hold. This can no longer be overlooked and will have to be corrected.

Hello!
We have had the new system for just over a month now. We are still learning our way around things, but customers have been very patient as we navigate the new system. There have been changes on the driver license side that you need to be aware of.

If you misplace your license, you are now required to have a certified or original birth certificate or a valid passport. There is no working around this we have to have it.

Proof of residency must be with you when you are doing an original driver license or state id. For a basic license or learners permit you are required to bring 1 proof of residency. If it's your original (first time) or if you have moved residencies on an established license or ID. Your proof of residency cannot be your current credential. Items such as a utility bill, voter registration card, lease agreement, deed to your home, w-2's, bank statements, first class mail can be used. When doing REAL ID you will need 2 proofs.

As a reminder, please when renewing your tags come in at the very least with your tag number and insurance so we can get you settled. Coming in and giving us your name or address is not always going to populate your information for us.

We are in the first week of the new system and boy is has been something! We are able to process driver licenses now and have that system up and running. I would like to let everyone know of a couple changes for us. If you lose your license, you must come in with an identity document. A birth certificate or a Passport is required. When doing Real ID you will need two physical pieces of first-class mail, or other approved documentation. We cannot use your driver license as proof of residence.
