Our deepest condolences to the Jelinek family for the loss of Emil Jelinek. I've had the pleasure of repairing the logging machines for the Jelinek family for 10 plus years now. Emil at 97 probably moved or wood in the day then most men half his age. Probably the only guy I knew that read the operator manuals for all the forwarders that he ran think last count was 14 machines. Not may live to be a 100 yrs old and prob not many others ran a forwarder at 97 almost everyday think he probably ran the thing in his sleep as well.

His goal was to make it to 100, and to stay in the woods as long as he could. Our founder, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at home in his sleep with his family by his side on Saturday, May 28th. Emil was an inspiration to many and he enjoyed hearing how many people were interested in his logging work through social media and “that little computer in the phone”. Emil was a WWII veteran, a farmer, a mechanic, a husband, a father, a grandpa, a great grandpa and recently became a great-great-grandpa. But most of all, that man was a great logger who lived his life by handshakes and hard work. He will be terribly missed, but we are grateful for his 100 years of a life well lived.
